Has anyone tried promoting their own product(s) through PPC?
I'm thinking of doing this. I know the product has to be something of very good quality. Maybe not directly but through a banner on the site I'll be promoting through PPC. The reason I'm thinking of doing this is because you'll make money instantly (if you do make any money). You won't have to wait weeks or months to be paid by your advetiser. You can then use the money again on campaigns.
Has anyone ever tried doing this? Maybe he or she can give me some suggestions/tips?

Re: Has anyone tried promoting their own product(s) through PPC?
This is by far the best way to make money for me. I struggled when promoting other people's products. I just don't like to promote products I don't believe in.
When I started to promote my own products is when I really started to make money.

Nice. May I know what kind of products you promote(like ebook, physical...)? Also, do you like build a website on your niche and then put advert bsnners of your product on that site? I really am not sure how to go about it as I haven't done any PPC before.

Most of them were digital products I created myself. I don't sell ebooks. You have to get creative about what you sell, there are tons of digital goods you can sell with your own PPC campaigns.
My last successful venture was selling contracts for a specialty consulting market.

Re: Has anyone tried promoting their own product(s) through PPC?
The best tip I can give you is start small and build up.
This'll help you focus on the funnel first. You don't want to exhaust your funds in the beginning when you're figuring it out. PPC is EXTREMELY volatile.
You might not earn from hundreds of visitors and sometimes you can earn a lot from just a few. It boils down to the keywords you choose, how you execute the bidding and the consistent optimization of your funnel.
For me, the things that have helped most are split testing and heatmaps. Of course, it'll take some time to wrap your heads around both of them but once you do... you'll know exactly how and why your traffic reacts the way they do.
