Good books to learn PPC form?

The most complete course on PPC is PPC Formula 1 & 2.
It's very big learning material, it's shared here on download section, just search, download and apply it.

I was wondering if PPC formula 1 is good to learn from? I noticed its from 2007. Do you think much has changed with cpa/PPC from 2007-2010?

Id suggest reading both, I think you'll be surprsed by the amount of useful information in them both.

I managed to find the videos for the first one. I've been looking for the 2.0 and haven't had any luck. A lot of dead links everywhere. How big is the difference between 1.0 and 2.0?

Just a few suggestions since your new to the PPC game. Go in with enough of a budget to bid high from the start, it makes all the difference with how strong your campaigns will be. When I first started I tried to always keep my bids as low as possible so it ended up costing me thousands in the longrun. Profitability only came when I bit the bullet and set minimum bids high from the start.

After a few weeks start to lower your bids in $0.10 increments and confirm that you're able to maintain the same ad positions.

I've heard this before but I don't really understand it since i am clueless on the whole PPC thing. Why does it help to bid high and then go low? Does yahoo, bing or google automatically reduce your cost if you go too high?
