Reputation system

I have changed the reputation system. Only Jnr VIPS and above can now leave negative reputation.

These will now be closely monitored for abuse. And anyone caught giving random, non meaningful reputation will be banned.

I repeat Only JNR Vips and above can NOW ONLY! Leave negative reputation.

Newbies can not even give or take reputation either.

Amen, now stop your bitching about it.

This shoud've been implemented yesterday, when I lost 20 reps for complaining about the rep system.

Better late then never I guess.

awesome decision. I was sick of stupid negative reppers and am going to upgrade to Jr. VIP very very soon

Wow one guy starts a thread bitching about his rep because his penis size is somehow directly related to the size of his reputation? The whole point of reputation should be that it is a 2 way street.

I thought the whole thread of a guy bitching about neg rep (obviously just a rep fishing trip) was stupid.

Might as well pull everyone's ability to GIVE rep as well - nobodys going to give a shit about the quality of what they post now as they now know that 75% of the people on the forum [sorry if that isn't exactly an accurate percentage of non-paying members]
isn't able to neg rep them now if they say something stupid.

m not sure if it's been implemented yet. i can still see the report button next to every post and i ain't a jr.vip yet...(unless i've been magically upgraded)

anyone can report a post for a rules violation. that is different from being able to neg rep someone.

Thanks Harro, now this has been done the rep system can be used in the way it was meant to be, and there might be less moaning and groaning about it.

I didn't entirely see the point of this at first but then I remembered some of the posts I've seen today and can understand why democracies are dangerous.

If I remember correctly you lost rep for complaining that someone had given you negative rep at all. Not about the system as a whole.

Did yu really loose 20 rep ? I see increment of 9 rep instead..
The screenshot yu posted says 14 points.. and now yu have 23 rep..

Yep I LOST 20 rep, but then I manned up and said I don't care anymore and people gave me rep for that (thanks buds

), and after that I still lost rep but not much but I ended with more rep overall, but not only from that thread, I also opened a thread on how to gather emails, which got me rep too!

Ok, I'll probably get flamed for being a dumbass, but HOW do I leave a positive REP for someone? I swear I've searched and read threads looking for instructions but haven't found anything so far so I must be missing it somewhere. Grrr! I thought I read somewhere that there's supposed to be a 'scales' icon but damn if I can find one on any posts. If it matters, I use firefox. A pointer is appreciated.

According to Harros post "newbies" cannot give +rep and only jr vip's and above can negative rep someone. Until you get 50 posts your considered a newbie and cannot give rep.
Once you are eligble you will see a green rep button at the top right hand side of the persons post next to the report button.

Its the green button on the upper right corner of each posts.

If you can not see it, you do not have permissions to use it yet.
