Yes you can edit your posts, but the time limit for doing so is 15 minutes.
If it's been longer than 15 minutes and you need to have a thread or post
deleted, the best way to accomplish this is to hit the report button at the top of every post:
Just include a brief note explaining that it's your post and you'd like to have it deleted. This report, along with the exact location of the post, will be sent to every mod/admin via email, which will result in a faster response.
NOTE: You can also request an admin/mod to edit your post for you, but it needs to be a very special circumstance.
