As my first post, i wanted to ask if profiting from warez with file-sharing hosts like sharecash, rapidshare, hotfile, etc is ilegal.

As I see things, supposedly, profiting from warez is a crime or against the law (?!?!?!) so that warez should only be SHARED without any profit or money earning.

So, the question is: Do you thing profiting from sharing warez is ilegal/crime/(or similar)?

Why does law/justice/governments/whatever not try to stop this?

Or why are warez illegal and can be bought anywhere, from around the corner to a torrent?

the government does try to stop it i think... but a lot of people host their sites in other countries, where the government can't do anything, and they're anonymous.

i don't know much about it, but i think someone else may be able to explain better

Using, sharing, selling, linking at WAREZ is illegal in the US (and other countries). What varies is the penalties.

No, it doesn't make it legal. It just makes it more difficult to get you. You are still responsible to your jurisdiction no matter where your server is located.
