[Forum suggestion] banned members

Hello forum

I was reading the JR vip forum and i saw a lot of people with a lot of reputation and like 1500+ posts with good methods and shares and they are banned!Also now i saw that BHWmillionaire a JR vip from greece like i am is banned and i wonder what he did and he banned!
I wonder if its possible to add a plugin that for example when you put your mouse over a banned member you see a message like "banned for xxx days because of ######"

Just an idea

its actually against the rules to discuss about why a member is banned,

so this is not gonna happen i guess...hard luck, But good suggestion.

Oh i didnt knew that im sorry

But its a big question when you see so reputable members with more than 2-3 years on the forum and see that they are banned!
I dont know why it is against the rules i think it will help if they can see what others did and get banned so if they didnt knew this is bad they will learn

He isn't asking why a member has been banned, he is suggesting some new functionality to the forum

On a side note, I was wondering why BHMillionaire was banned...Well, we are all entitled to wonder, but no doubt we will never find out.

Plus, if we did have this feature it would stop all those threads asking why someone was banned...because everyone would know already. Its definitely a good idea.

so will BHMillionaire get a notice to tell him the reason of ban? i constantly fear getting banned too. seems like there's a alot of ban-mines lying around. hope we have a better system that allows us to learn from the mistakes of others.

There shouldn't be a fear of getting a ban, all of the mods are level headed and reasonable.

As long as you have a good attitude and follow the rules, you won't have an issue. If it's something minor, you'll just get an infraction first anyway.

You're only likely to get banned (assuming you have lots of posts and rep) if you are rude to a mod.

Won't comment on BHMillionaire, but from what I remember he spent half his life trolling the shit list section getting involved where he shouldn't.

This just gave me a good idea. They should start another section of BHW where all the banned people can start threads etc. Let all the people who don't follow the rules or don't read the terms be together.

The only time you can ask why a member was banned is
in situations where you may have had a pending business
transaction with him or something else along those lines.
If that is the case, then you can contact our Administrator
in private and he will determine as to whther or not he
will divulge the reason a particular member was banned.

In other words, you can only ask on a "Need-To-Know"
basis, but not ob a "Want-To-Know" basis.

Hope that clarifies things a bit . . .

Why on earth would you have such a fear? The forum is not run by 10-years old kids who have nothing better to do that go on a virtual power trip and start banning left and right. No one gets banned without a severe break of the Rules.

Since my first day on the Internet more that a decade ago, I 've been a member of many many forums and I can tell you that BHW shines as one of the most balanced ones. The community spirit which is so great here on BHW would not have been possible if the mods/admins did not do their best to sustain it.

it would be a good idea to have and adult/promotional section/both though. anyway think about it, could get your ratings up, reduce banning issues, keep customers happy and keep it blackhat being what it is...
