    Default Gaming sub-section lounge

All work and no play makes jack a dull boy
This board contains a large number of young people whom spend a great deal of their time online.
A demographic/usergroup prone to play games. Like the quote above states, we all need some leisure time.
I've been noticing gaming related threads in the lounge, discussing games or starting groups to play online, so i'm opening this poll to see if there is any animus so that we can facilitate the need with a sub-section.
Maybe intertwined with a gaming room on the chat.

Make a vote and/or a post with your opinion.
I'm interested to see what YOU think about it

    regards,
    M.A.D.

The idea of taking time off marketing and playing a lil isn't bad at all, but i think it would just add to the list of distractions...
Even at the state this board is now, i can spend hours just reading useless threads about funny stuff or similar and NOT work, like i should. With another section in this board motivating me to dig out my old 360, id propably earn half as much as i could...
But if the democacy calls for it, so shall it be

There would be no harm in having a gaming section/lounge.

    I've had 3 PS3's and one XBOX 360.

I used to PWN on both.. I'd always be on FIFA 11/12 or Call Of Duty 4, Modern Warfare 2 or Call of duty: Black ops..

I used to own on all those games back in the days lool.. I used to be a quickscoping addict (since I found guns too easy).. man those were the days until I knew I was too addicted to gaming so I got rid of my consoles and thought let me focus on getting rich online and having a auto-pilot site that is making money and then I can go back to gaming and start a clan and not have my parents shout at me saying I am wasting my time playing video games and making no money.

    Good idea btw bro. +rep

This is a place of business, but sometimes people need some relieve, why we have the lounge for instance.
Gaming forums are already out there, but i feel people would like to play with other blackhatters.
    Example : http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackha...ltiplayer.html
    http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackha...-clan-ps3.html

As far as i understand Damien is working on bringing the whitehat email section back.
He's going through all the threads cleaning up.
So should be up soon... ish... *fingers crossed*
Thanks for the reply, appreciate it

understood but - i think of the advantage of a gaming subforum as the opportunity to team up with some fellow BHW fam to play some games more then heavy discussion. I don't really want to go on other forums, rather see if I can match up with some friends on here

    3 Cheers for M.A.D.
I have no say in what sections get created. It's all up to the big boss.
But if you want something new or added open up a vote like this one. If you get enough users you can contact a mod, via pm or on irc, and then we can get post a thread for damien so he can take a look at it.
    Hope that helps.

    Cheers

No need to get aggressive and calling names.

Discussion is on having a dedicated subsection for gaming not on making money with gaming and who told you that you need to know how to play to make money with it.

Do you need to be a PUA expert for making money from Dating
Do you need to know how to use every single product sold on Amazon to sell those.
Do you try every Penis enhancement pill/method to sell that
Would you try to get pregnant if you are selling that ebook

Do you need more examples so that the discussion in this thread makes sense to you.

Make sure there is a subsection where people can leave their XBL Gamertags or PSNoob tags

Then we can all get stonned together and play Battlefield , COD etc

I vote no. This is an IM forum. There are plenty of gaming forums out there for those interested in gaming, just like there are forums out there for every interest. We already have the lounge which is a general interest off topic section. I think that's enough.

A subsection on making money from gaming is fine with me, but another lounge just for gamers doesn't fit in my mind.

I think it's a great idea and an amazing way to exchange friend codes and whatever.

Many blackhatters won't go out of their way just to talk to other blackhatters... gaming is a great way to pull down that barrier and in my honest opinion it can easily create potential long term profitable relationships.

Normally we might be a little to concerned about who does more work in projects, how much is fair, who gets larger percentages, if the other is worthy of trust for niches; gaming can easily pull down that barrier for both sides which is the best type of resolve possible

    Here's another +1 from me.

    good point

one of my best friends, only reason we prob stayed such good friends was cause we played games together (lived 4 hrs apart)

it's a great way to get a feel for how working with someone would be - how they handle themselves under pressure, how their teamwork is, etc.

    good point

a gaming section could be very relevant to internet marketing.

it could be a mix of general gaming threads and different ways to make money from gaming - developing games, botting games, monetizing in-game stuff, subscriptions, micropayments, gold farming, mobile phone apps, in-game economies, etc etc

i see loads of potential here

I vote yes for the same reason.
Gaming is a huge topic in the Internet community and I also see alot of potential here... Since I was very active in the botting and game hacking scene it would be great to share some thoughts about how to monetize it and so on.

Also I am a semi professional Starcraft 2 player and it would be awesome to find other members also playing the same games as me

I voted positive. Games connect the people like anything else. Besides that, the game niche is my personal favorite. Games + cash = i am happy.

Gaming is quite a cheap and fun way to kill time! I love it, not to much though 6-7hours a week is enough. Everyone needs a bit distraction you can't work 24/7. I socialize with my friends through games, much better then going to some lame ass party and fuck up your brains by getting drunk.

    I say NO.

Instead of a new Gaming section, why not add something related to internet marketing?

If you feel there needs to be a new section you can open vote like this one and damien will most likely have a look at it.
If it's needed, we'll add it.

The reason for a subsection in the lounge: these are just some threads of the last couple days,

I have read the thread in a hope its another mistake. :-) Sometimes people refer to gambling when write gaming. Apparently I was wrong.

However, I'm all for gambling section here. Its the one I specialize in, and its totally different from the marketing we are used to. Just like porn.

As to gaming, I have no affiliation with the niche, and hence have no right to vote for or against.

    Cheers,
