Gaming sub-section lounge

i voted yes. i think if it's about how to make money with gaming, i say yes. if it's about playing games, i still say yes.

however if it's about playing games, i do agree with kickflip who said it shouldn't be in the recent threads section.

but yeah, i like the idea.

edit: and about it bringing in more traffic - yes it will... but along with that comes the fact that there will be a lot of idiots joining the forum (too many i think)....

Might be a issue if it were a gaming money making subforum. Since that would include botting, which might be a legal problem.
We don't want to get sued to smithereens lol. So for now just think lounge type gaming subsection and i'll append the request for a entire gaming section when i ask DD.
Ultimately it's his decision.

I don't think a gaming section would increase the newb factor with a tenfold or something.
100% of the newbs is the sum of all sections combined, by adding a new section, that would only increase that by the slightest.

The fun of the subsection is that it's with other Blackhatters, that bond isn't there with random SE visitors. They'll most likely join one of the larger gaming boards.
If they do stick around, their curiosity about the stuff here was most likely already there to begin with.
Chances are they're technically skilled or informed in some way and will be a welcome addition rather then a pariah of pure ignorance.

i see your point, i didn't even think of it in that way. i did just think about it and you're right. for every idiotic post that i see on here, there's hundreds of good ones as well. and most people only have to start one stupid thread and see their replies to learn their lesson. most don't do it again. :-)

and yeah, the majority of serious gamers know their stuff. i was just thinking more along the lines of 11 or 12 year olds. (not that all of them are immature, but most are!)

Yes, great way to take a break, especailly for gamers (I am not a heavy gamer, but I play latest games etc), you can meet up friends from BHW and play online together, interract, more communication.

Video gaming is a massive market that is still growing and will continue to grow.
It's also a market that is full of the type of customers we internet marketers love: hungry buyers.

Gamers are very passionate about their hobby and will spend a lot of money on a wide variety of items. I am the same way, and I know a lot of gamers that are the same.

On a side note, if I'm not working, I'm probably playing COD Black Ops, so if any of you guys are on sometime, let's have some fun.
