Why I can't access BHW from my home IP?

Okay so we're all aware that BHW has been slow/down or a couple of days lately. Now that its back online, I still can not access the site from my home IP (I am from Pakistan)

I'm currently using my German VPS to access BHW.

I've tried accessing it after clearing DNS and cache using Command Prompt but no luck.

Anyone else having the same problem?

i can't access bhw from different ips and different isp. i ask few friends to prove it, and yes they can't access bhw too...

in short, i have same issue with bk071. now i am using proxy to post this.

Same here. Not on on BHW but also on Analytics and adwords keyword tool it seems like there is a problem on DNS worldwide.

I tried this command in Command Prompt:

ping www.blackhatworld.com

and it returned this result:

ping request cannot find host Please check the name and try again.

Hey BigBuddy, is there any way we can get notification through email, or a notification on some outside site like Google Groups when the problem resolves? It's too hard **gasp, air -- air** for the BHW addicts when the great site is down, you see.

bk, this happened to me a few weeks back i posted a thread about it, i couldn't get on with my ip for over a week either, I eventually got fed up of using vpn so ended up just turning off the modem for a few hours and it resolved itself

i'm from Egypt , all the day the site is down , and i tested proxy , hrs ago , i tested proxy and it works, but down from home, i restarted the router and went to sleep , 1 hr later , it works good now , can we know the reason ??

Perform a traceroute operation in DOS and post the screenshot of whatever it comes up with (Thats what I did and they fixed it fast)

If you don't know how to perform a traceroute, use google.

Same for me. Also in Vietnam and can't access BHW without a proxy.

wpbacklinks . I can give the static IP which my ISP is giving if it helps getting me access!

I'm having the same problem, i'm not able to access the site from my home.

My country is Nepal. And my ip is static so i can't change the ip.

Tracert finds the ip but every request times out. it does that with every site though.

My Windows 7 was giving me a wrong tracert result, courtesy my uninstalled AVG antivirus. Anyways I tried it on a friends laptop and now I have the tracert results. I think the ISP is not to blame. Check out the tracert


The last hop is on volumedrive where BHW is hosted. I know they might have a reason to blacklist an entire IP range, but please atleast whitelist one IP, my IP. Ready to give any details.

I had this problem randomly from my IP. I just connected using a proxy, but it was weird because sometimes right before the site became unconnectable, the home page was a CPA offer for some facebook cash thing.

Yeah same here. I think the best way is for BHW to figure something out instead of manually whitelist everyone's IP

Hello BHW,

Let me join this thread. I am using proxy to work post this. When I try to trace blackhatworld.com this is what I got:

Tracing route to blackhatworld.com [204.124.182.119]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

  1     *        *        *     Request timed out.
  2     *        *        *     Request timed out.
  3     *     ^C

So in a nutshell - nothing.

I would be more than happy if I can fix this myself, otherwise we are all going to wait for the admins to fix it for us.
