Default just for the ones that have some time here at BHW

This forum is loosing IQ points lately from some of the noobs.I have stuck up for the noobs a lot until lately. They have no grasp of the basics ask questions like what is an autoblog.
So I guess my other complaint is banned scammers are coming back no matter what the mods to ban them. Its not the mods fault we all can hide our ass.
I want to hear from members who have been here for awhile and see if we can find a suggestion to send to the big dogs.I do not want to see this forum done in by scammers and dumb-asses.

@dizz: you werent the brightest of the bunch either when you joined the forum ya know. or did you forget about your -70 rep from your ventrillo escapades :P And look at you now

IMHO theres no way to prevent noobs from posting those kinda threads. The mods are doing what they can and there are other helpful members here who try to teach the noobs how to use the search button instead of posting silly threads.

Maybe they should get a fair warning/instruction before they sign up.

Have them answer 10 multiple choice questions related to the topics on BHW before they are able to register.

That way, they would read up before they try to come here posting feed me threads.

I am one of those new spamming members. I suggest you kick me out ASAP

Anyway, I suggest more moderators and rules similar to the one´s below. (My english sucks but you get the idea)

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

BHW have both rules and netiquette rules. Violating any of these can result in reprimand, warning or suspension from the forum. It is the user's responsibility to have read these rules before they start using the forum. A user may also be banned from certain parts of the forum if you misbehave.

    Quality over quantity

BHW demands both quality and readable information. Threads or posts that do not fullfil this will be deleted or locked.

Members who oppose the freedom of debate in the forums, by systematically publish low quality posts will be banned. The abbreviation QOQ stands for "quality over quantity".

    Netiquette

Read, and show respect for other people's arguments. Posts that are not in English are erased. A member who violates any of netikeqette rules can receive a warning.

    1. The title will show you what the thread is about

If your post is mainly a question, the title should end with a question mark.

    2. Entries must stay close to the subject of the current forum

Be sure to post your messages in the proper forum. Your posts must be related to the topic that the forum intends. If you are unsure of which forum is best, you can contact a moderator before you post. If there are several forums that are suitable for your post, select the forum that you think is most appropriate.

    3. Stick to the topic of the thread

Rather than abandon the chosen topic of the thread, start a new thread with the new title. Posts that are off-topic or nonsense can be deleted without notice and justification.

    4. Cross Posting is prohibited

Cross-posting, that is to post the same posts in multiple threads, or creating the same thread in multiple forums, is not allowed.

    5. Your user name should not resemble any other established users

. If this is discovered after registration, the user can be forced to change his name to a more unique one. Any person who knowingly registers a name which can be confused with someone else on the forum in order to sabotage will be banned. If another user is already using the same avatar, BHW moderators may delete the avatars that were added last.

    6. False rumors are prohibited

It is not allowed to spread fake information about other members, their services or companies in order to expose them to other people's contempt. To deliberately misrepresent or spread information in order to mislead is prohibited.

Those who break the rules risk a warning, in some cases, excommunication.
A warning will be removed after 12 months.

One warning = banned from the board in a week.
Two warnings = banned from the board in a month.
Three warnings = Permanently banned from the board.

    7. Hate crimes are prohibited

Threatening or deliberately discredit a group of persons with allusion to race, religion or sexual orientation will not be tolerated.

    8. Serious personal attacks, harassment and threats is prohibited

Serious personal attacks against other users is prohibited, and harassment, threats or veiled threats. This applies to both the posts and PM and can lead to suspension. The use of signature or avatar to attack a user is considered harassment.

    9. It is forbidden to post links to viruses, Trojans, spyware or other malicious software, if you do not clearly discloses that the links are harmful. Any person who knowingly publishes such a link will be banned from the board.

I have always stuck up for noobs till now.I still like that there is new good talent coming in but now there is people who where banned and they come back to do it again.

well... i know the 'autoblogging' thread dizz is referring to... and it's ridiculous. that's why at first i thought the OP of that thread was joking.

people need to know how to use the search function, instead of wasting space.

edit: people should know how to learn sh*t on their own. it's not about 'noob'. it's about some people not even bothering to find out sh*t that's been said before (and right in front of their face!). SEARCH is there for a reason. i see at least three or four things a day being asked over and over. if people searched beforehand, they wouldn't be wasting space by asking again.

people need to take some initiative, and find stuff out.

The problem are not the noobs, it´s all the duplicate threads. Here at BHW, you have to search for a while to find the gems since they are hiding in all those "Is it worth to buy Scrapebox?"-threads.

If mods could just remove all the duplicate threads, life would be so much easier for all of us. I understand that this would mean a lot of extra work and that´s why I suggest that BHW should hire some new moderators.

There are 2 different types of noobs.

The first type is the noob who is willing to learn and is actively searching on forums and Google for information for their questions. He's the type of person to make a thread asking a specific question about a detailed problem. He most likely tried a Google search or even a BHW search but could not find the detailed answer he was looking for. His last choice is to ask for the expertise of BHW members.

The second type of noob comes here asking how to make money. I mean we all come here wanting to make money but we don't ASK, we read, research, do trial and error! The problem with these noobs is that they want shortcuts... and that's their problem... they want to shortcut everything... shortcut methods... shortcut research.... shortcut work ... they aren't even ready to actually make money because they don't have the right mind set. You can't short cut work. You can find ways to work more efficiently, but you can't SKIP work ( trial and error ) and go straight to the money.

Look I was new everyone of us has been new there is no Question about it.I expect no noobs to quite agree with this. They take it as an insult not a challenge. We worked CL before we got here made enough to live on.We still fuck up...get into jvs where someone screws us and then it affects our bottom line. Then we act like businessmen or women and fix what we have to.I have seen people post about jr vip and have 0 posts it is obvious that these are people who have been banned. So vote for the betterment of our BHW.

I deal with noobs every day here on the forum. If they make an honest mistake, I try to show them the right way to do something, or I point them to the BHW rules, etc.

If I see that they are simply not getting it, I tell them to stop doing whatever it is they are doing wrong. Then if they still don't listen, I have to resort to extreme measures. I have a lot of patience, but my patience has a limit also.

Personally, I have nothing against them, since I realize that we all had to start as noobs.

    Cheers! - "Wiz"

I get what you are saying/thinking, Dizz, as there are a lot of new members that are not IM savvy... I get a lot of PMs as well as emails from that crowd.

I offer what I can without spoon feeding generally and even spoon feed the occasional one that appears to be really trying and just missing the boat a bit.

I don't know, nor could I formulate a plan of attack on how to clean it up as I am just not that smart but I do think that it would be a better forum with some noob adjustments.

We all were green as grass at one time; I know I was as I thought that DP was an outstanding place back in the day.

A good example of what Dizz is saying:

I don't think that some of the BHW higher ups care about the quality. (A lot of very good MODS though) They care about volume, it makes the forum more active and thus more valuable when it goes for sale. (Hence the mandatory $100 donor fee which adds more value to BHW)
Also, please don't tell newbies to use the search function. That is not what BHW wants. They rather have 10 of the same topics started per day then a newbie that finds the answer to his question with the search function.
They don't want them to use the search function because they may bump old threads. (Must be hard to find a plugin that auto locks threads that have been in-active for a certain amount of time)

    So to summarize:
Don't try to get more quality here on BHW, it is not in the best interest of BHW.
Don't tell newbies to use the search function, it is not in the best interest of BHW (you might also get banned)
All in all, forget about it, you have no saying.

If it is a dumb question that has been asked over and over, just reply with a link to the search page. I am new here and I have done it a couple of times now.

Just more disrespect from people who have no idea exactly how much volunteer effort and time goes into keeping this place clean on a daily basis. It's baseless complaining and moaning like this (from a handful of serial complainers) that really gives new meaning to the words "thankless job".

Nothing against them, even the top earners in BHW started as newbies, but it's true that some over do , like some try to earn money in a different way etc, but I did make a guide which I believe it helped many newbies (got lots of grey rep)

    http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackha...ml#post2720872

I wrote it because there was an increase of newbie members in BHW, we should simply try to help them, but not spoonfeed them.

I Agree with this, the bhw staff are chosen well IMO, all of them are doing their best, and they do have lots of work, non-staff get many PMs, and I can imagine how much staff get, plus the reports.

A friendly question, why don´t you recruit more people for staff? I am sure there are quite a few knowledgeable oldtimers here who would love to help you out to keep the forum clean.

Well I think so far the staff is doing a great job, BHW is a very big forum, so it is not easy to manage it, just like a big company, there are always problems, issue, trouble makers etc, and if you have not noticed, the staff are taking action on the reported posts fairly quickyl.

I agree that they are doing a great job. However, with more people in staff, it would be possible to get rid of more "semi-junk".

Seriously, who benefit from all these threads with the same questions over and over again? I mean, if the noobies are too stupid to learn how to use a search button, they will never succeed in SEO anyway (or in life for that matter).

I think that most people are missing the point of what the Mods do on BHW. I have been, and forever will be a newbie, no matter how many accounts I manage or what I have accomplished in IM. The term, "new twist" as a must is testament to the fact that this field changes every day.

There have been times where I have noticed that my threads are gone. If they were of low quality, I know why they were removed (usually). If I thought it was out of this world and ever so valuable, I sooth the ego with the thought that they might have been moved to JrVIP, ( at least it makes me feel better).

The point I make is that WIZ and the other mods do a great job of making sure that the quality of content on this forum is 100%. They do a great job and deserve a thank you. To think that they don't care is an infantile and ignorant thought.

As for putting the boot to the neck of the noobs, it would be like putting the muzzle on all young activists, only to destroy the chances of creating the next Malcom X.

There are a lot of "lower quality" ideas floating around the board, but you know what, I have to regress and say that I continue to find bits for my twists in almost every one. I jumped all over a guy the other day for his BS fake PPC ebook post, but after reading the ebbok, I set up a BS clicker myself and sold the account on Fiverr for multiple percentages of what it was worth. I haven't thought of staring at other peoples ads for pennies a day in years.....

It may not seem like it is worth the hassle, but the newbies are our future...

Maybe if we just hit the kids harder they will become smarter... LOL

Thank you WIZ, for all you do. Let the haters hate, as Kat Williams says, "they are just doing their job", you just keep on doing yours.

And thank you to all of the newbs... We have learned a lot together.

I assume you are referring to my post (I can't tell because you didn't quote anything yet included the word 'this' )
I understand that you may take all this personally. I understand that you put in a lot of time and effort. (for example, when I report a thread or post it usually is gone within a few minutes any time of the day!)
But the fact that you take it personally and call anyone that comments on some of the things that happen on BHW thankless, rubs me the wrong way.
I don't think you understand how much time and effort dozens of people (including myself) put in BHW to help newbies with their most basic questions that can be solved within 2 sec with the search function.
Personally I have dozens of people on my Yahoo asking me anything, anytime. Sometimes I even wake up in the middle of the night answering on my phone.
So I understand that you may feel attacked by someone that has a complaint but without the people you wouldn't even have a 'helpless' job.
A complaint is not a bad thing, it is something anyone can learn from to make things better. Like how a baby may fall over a 1000 times before he finally learns how to walk.

So I find that it shows a lack of respect to call someone that raises questions (or complaints) 'thankless'. If anything, calling the people that silently help people out on a daily basis for years, thankless, is quite frankly, thankless.
    Back with a vengeance.

I help out because I sometimes feel sorry for newbie´s who have been trying hard to learn but still doesn´t understand some single piece of information. Also, I like BHW and I want to make the forum as good as possible.

I did edit that. I did it because, like I explained right after your post (which I quoted, which has my original text in it), it was me being a jerk off generalizing all the mods which is not right (hence the reason I made the edit and offered apologies)
[edit (to add something that I forgot to say)]
Also, I was referring to the OP when I said, ask a question and to the thread in my post when I said 'complaint'

We just have to deal with it man. Maybe BHW could get some noob moderators to go around and deal with the bullshit that stops me from posting my methods, knowing that I will get 10000000 pm's by the morning is a real put off lol.

The mods do an excellent job btw.

How bout creating creating a new section for newbie like me to start-off and ask newbie question? And a user below a certain amount of post will get a pop-out or something like that, asking "Is this a newbie question? If yes please post this to blah blah blah"

Everyone started from zero and came out from a hole

I know exactly what I said, I didn't pick off ANY particular staff member, in fact, I wrongfully generalized the WHOLE staff, which I apologized for and edited my original post.
I don't try to play saint, I know EXACTLY what I said and why I said it.
In fact, I told you that I respect how fast MODS operate ANY time of the day.
Maybe my bullshit is in fact bullshit, fact of the matter is that it seems that it is not BHW policy for newbies to search for their answer or think for them selves (hence the closing post of the thread I linked to). Nor should members of BHW point newbies to the search function which seems to be punishable by a ban (again, based on the closing post in my linked thread).
I may have used too strong of terminology when in fact I was out of order, if so, I apologize.
    Back with a vengeance.

You mean that we all benefit from helping beginners? In what way? I must have missed something here, will they work for me? Should I send them my Paypal?
Because that next noob may have the next great idea that changes everything and shares it. If you were the one that helped them in the beginning, you may be the first one they share it with. And it is also called paying it forward. You were helped at one time or another in your past.

Nope. I started out by buying E-books. After that, I worked for free for a guy who was knowledgeable in SEO. My "salary" was to be teached by him. After that, I started my own first sites and, with the help of trial and error, made my first buck online.

After that, things have just moved on.

I also find it highly unlikely that someone, noob or not, would share "the next great idea" on a public forum. If you find something where you can earn good cash, you keep that info to yourself.

If you think I am wrong, perhaps you could tell us the url:s of your sites so I can do some reverse engineering? I wouldn´t mind if you could share some of your techniques and lists also.
