I agree 100%.Tired of reading posts like ,my girlfreand left me,i need help im in trouble,ect.
This is a business forum not a shrinks office.keep up the good work.I will love this forum alot better when the crap posts are gone.

Well those posts usually end up in the lounge and it tends to help 'build community'

I mean how likely are you to help a stranger?

How likely are you to help a guy you dont really know but seems like a decent enough guy?

I can tell you search by new posts, otherwise youd never see those ;-p

I think there should be a minimum post count limit to be able to post in the request section
and once they have crossed the post limit, a mod should view their posts and then only allow them to create topics in the request section.....
its the only good thing DP has to prevent scammers in their BST section....
i think it should be adapted....

Iran java already has this minimum post count. I think it works well for them. Just don't set it too high. Just my thoughts

I think the entire deal about making people post relevant information and also having over a certain post level is what makes the forum great. If you think about it all... It forces people to have to really read over things, and actually become a part of things. I think it's really made things work better and I know it will definitely help all the brand new people out as well.

I'm in no way a pro at all this stuff, but the one thing that's helped me learn is by reading through everything. We really have some great knowledgeable people on here and it's a shame people are trying to just bump up the posts. It takes time to be an expert at something, and blackhat is one of those things.

I'd like to reiterate what Nevarc said.. word up. In the past, I've been resetting stat padders' post counts to 0 and giving them an infraction. However, it doesn't seem to be helping. Maybe some temp-bans would get the point across more clearly?

You know, we setup the forum to send an email AND a PM to everyone that includes a link to our rules, with instructions to read them. It doesn't seem to be helping.

I agree with making it a rule where you have to have a certain post count to be able to request anything in the downloads section, or even access it. Maybe 50 posts before you can even access the requests section? Then again, some numb nuts would still F--- it up by posting requests in the regular downloads section.

Also, manually reviewing everyone's posts to ensure quality can be a bitch of a work load for just a few people. You guys (regular members) can help us out by reporting any users you see padding their post count by hitting the report button (the ! button) on any of their posts and letting us know. Just check out their post history first, to make sure it wasn't a one-time thing. We can take it from there.

And as for the invitation-only forum, it probably won't happen. This forum costs money to run, and the new members coming in help pay those costs.

yeh we need more mods for sure.. and also i totaly agree harro and couldnt of put it better myself. the main thing that really pisses me off lately is noobs and alike asking for dp shit. like oh this looks great. has had good reviews. can someone please share.. this really gets on my tits and i think they deserve banning outright.

but yeh we need more mods so we can keep on top of it all..
