Thanks rep
Why don't you guys add a feature that when a person gets thanked, he gets a reputation in his usercp ?

Re: Thanks rep
It's already built into VB, I just haven't seen a reason to turn it on.

Re: Thanks rep
Correct me if I am wrong but if reputation were to be contingent upon thanks, what would be the point of having both? Wouldn't it just be the same thing? The way that I understand the current system is that reputation and thanks are independent of one another. Therefore, while a user may have a high "thanked" count, his/her rep could be relatively low.

Re: Thanks rep
Well both would be for the same thing but the admins can keep thanked post rep count at 2 reps per thanked post, we can use reputation also, but thanked rep would also be great and many forums are using it!

Re: Thanks rep
I guess it wouldn't hurt anything to turn it on, as long as the forum doesn't turn into a rep whore contest. I'll talk it over with Dave and see what he thinks. I think we should also bring back iTrader.

Re: Thanks rep
iTrader is also good, also you could set 2 rep points per thanked post which would reduce it, as many people here being thanked many times have low reps

Re: Thanks rep
Yeah, Many will have, actually, people here just thank and dont giv a rep, so admins also have low reps

Re: Thanks rep
Oh come one, who the hell cares about any of this thanks and rep crap. It's there to show the person you appreciate their post or comment, thats it. I only ever use the thanks button because it's easier (just one click) and I see rep as irrelevant.

Rep is a way of verifying that which member is trusted, which isn't. People DO care, May be not here at BHW, but Rep is must have at Dumber's Point Forums

Re: Thanks rep
I've always thought the exact same thing and find guys like Kingdom SEO a riot because they live and die by their rep count. He once offered to blow me for "rep". True story. That's why we never got along.
