I cant open new thread
Hi,
I’m your forum member, But I cant write to forum, when I write a message or try to open new thread it say :
You are trying to post a message that has triggered our moderation system. Please double check our rules to make sure you are posting something that is appropriate. Once you have been a member of BHW for a longer period of time this limit will be removed. Please understand this is to protect our community from spammers. Thank you!
And when I try to send PM to anyone it say:
Sorry , You Can't Send PM until You Have 15 Posts
Please help me, how can I use BHW?

Owned
This is really cool feature Bigbuddy, no PM-spam for a while now, and much less spam in threads with selling crap.
-
-
Re: I cant open new thread
it's good indeed, but can we haz a list of these words? i guess not
wait...BigBuddy, i gotcha, how can you post these words, if they're triggering the moderation system?
also is it affecting all the users or just the newbies with low post count?
(it reminds me a bit when i used to post to the dating/casual section of gumtree & kijiji and you couldn't use some rude words in your ads, it was fun when you couldn't figure out for long minutes wtf is the not allowed word especially if you translated the ad to French, Italian etc.

Re: I cant open new thread
Is this really necessary? Wouldn't it be better if you simply ban those spammers? They don't belong here, so why punish the others who seriously take this forum?

Re: I cant open new thread
This proactive approach is the best solution for now. BHW was getting hit pretty hard with spammers and users not reading the rules. Banning has not helped the problem.
As long as you follow the rules there is no punishment.
...so why punish the others who seriously take this forum?
How serious do you take this forum after being here for 16 months as a member with only 2 posts to your name?

@damagen - the solution is pretty simple. Why don't you browse through the forums to find some topics you are interested in or know something about. Then instead of trying to start a new thread before you really know what kind of things people on bhw like to see, you can just give some quality replies in other threads that might answer someones question, or present a new thought out question of your own pertaining to that thread.
If you do that then it shouldn't take you very long to get your post count high enough that you can use almost all the features of the forum.
Seems like a simple enough solution to me.
In the meantime here is some good threads and pages you might want to look through first.
Also this is IMPORTANT - Before you start another thread or post another reply, read and follow these instructions:
One more good bit of advice, while you're browsing through the forums be sure to read the sticky threads. There is some really good info in those (that's why they were made sticky. lol) and in many cases include specific rules that apply to posts made in those particular subforums. Follow this advise and it might save you some trouble in the future.
Hope that helps you out a little. Welcome to the forum, there is a lot of information here. If you use it right it can really help you a lot.

Re: I cant open new thread
Yep, you are right Diamond Dave, I've only 2 posts for now. But that not necessarily means I'm not taking this forum seriously. I've found some answers for my major questions here and there... and there is another thing though... I see too many questions ramain without answers or not the answers you can rally on them.
Sorry but that's the way I see it. I'll try to keep up now and see if I can find real help, not a general, outdated or misleading tips from forum members... or another sales pitch from time to time
Cheers

Re: I cant open new thread
Relax the.empire, as I see it a words like: link, message, mail, send, post, location and a much like those are somehow triggering the system. Why is that and how long you have to be a member on the forum to get rid of this limitation that only admin and the staff members know. SO till then calm down and try to manage with synonyms

Re: I cant open new thread
I would like to be active in this forum, but the same error message is preventing me from many posts. It's a good idea to prevent spam.. I will try to be more specific in my posts.

Re: I cant open new thread
Can mod uplift this ban for the buying/selling forum? I tried to post a WTB thread but was denied. This is kind of excessive and turning away a lot of business.

Re: I cant open new thread
O dear lol this isn't Warrior forum and you must understand that to maintain the high standards of the BST section it is limited to site downers and users with 100 posts and over 90 active days forum use.
