when viewing threads you have already posted in..

it would be nice to see if someone else has posted in that particular thread without having to click on the link to check

Sorry if I am missing something but when you are in the section you commented in(or in the home page if it's still there) next to the post is a tick to show you have commented on it, then when you look to the right it shows the last post. If it's not you it's someone else.
Or do you mean as you are actually on the thread? In that case just go to the last post.
I apologize if this is not what you meant I have only posted thids to help. I say this as you have over 200 posts and I would have thought you knew this.

Sorry again as an add on if you mean has someone posted after someone else after you ie. further posts you go to your control panel and hit subscribed threads and ones with new posts since you viewed are in bold.

Just click on User CP. All of the threads on that list you have posted in. If you are not the last one to make a post, and it is bold in the name, then that thread has a new post.

but actually what he said doesn't work for me, the color is all the same if i click on my user name and go to the threads i have posted in, they are all the same color regardless of posts after mine or not.. what am i missing?

Yes when you go to your control panel they are the same colour but the ones with new posts are slightly bolder and I think they go to the top of your subscribed posts. I stress I Think but they are definately in a thicker type.
