Why does the advanced search function on BHW not work like other Vbullitin forums??

I have learned so much, but this has been the most frustrating thing for me about BHW.

When you go to advanced search, select "search titles only" then enter your search query and hit enter, it will bring up pages and pages of threads that have NEITHER of my search terms in the title? WTF? It's so frustrating, I can never find anything.

I have tried using quotation marks around the search terms, tried using + between them, tried quotation marks and +, and no matter how I change it still brings up the exact same results in the exact same order.

I read somewhere on BHW that somebody said that its because thats how all Vbullitin forums are, but I am on dozens of Vbullitin forums where I just select "titles only" and it will bring up 100% threads that contain only my search terms in the title, nothing else.

So what gives??

In general, searches use up a lot of resources for large forums, searching though every single forum post for stuff, takes up a lot of server resources, which is why websites like warez-bb have sperate servers for the forum, the MYSQL databse etc.

Hmm, well it sure would be nice to actually be able to do a proper search when all you pros tell all the noobs to "SEARCH!!".

this is true. although i am not a noob i have problems finding answers to things with the search function. funny thing is when i search google, more often than not bhw is the top result.

Yeah, I have just resorted to using the Google "site:blackhatwork dot com" function.

There should be a sticky about that, cause this forums search function truly sucks, yet everybody is always yelling at all the noobs to search, when they can't even get any answers with the search function.
