    Default How can I get a picture to show when I do a link (website) status update?

    So every time I paste my link to my site for a status update, I wait a few seconds for the image to appear and never does. I have images on my site (not too many in the root folder). I was wondering if folks have experience with this and what needs to work to show it?

    I found a solution if everyone cares. You need to do designate it a src AND have it in a <header>. Cannot be <head> has to be called <header>. Jeez Facebook.

    If its on an external page you can also use a meta property in your header with the open graph protocol

    <meta property="og:image" content="IMAGE LINK" />

    this way when a user likes or shares it will show the proper pictures

    Yeah. The problem is the meta has to be in the div header. Mine was in head and couldn't figure it out

    Just something in case people ran into errors.

    Meta tags have to be in the <head> tag... there's no <header> tag or header div (divs are an entirely different thing)... I guess there's something deeply wrong with your HTML code
