Please help - stopping facebook spammers

I have a FB profile page and there is a random fanpage which I havent even 'liked' posting on my wall ALL the time! How can I stop them and ban them from posting and spamming my wall? I can't remove the posts, apparently I'm 'tagged' in stupid photos but they have so many photos I can't find where I have been tagged to remove it.

I can't figure out how to ban them specifically in my account settings - although I presume there is an option. I tried to select them in the 'block' list but FB kept saying the fanpage could not be found, so I presume it only works for profiles.

One of the worst parts is - I can't see it when I'm logged in! A friend told me when they where viewing my profile that this person/fanpage was spamming my wall. When I'm logged in the 'I am tagged in this photo' doesn't even show for me.

Apart from spamming everyones wall in this niche (not just mine) the business has a fairly legit looking fanpage, I don't think reporting to FB will save me on this one - or be the fast action I'm looking for in preventing it (I will be reporting them)

Please help!

Yes, most - but not everyone here goes out of their way to ruin other businesses. And anyway, if someone spams then hopefully they know how to stop others spamming them - and they can pass on the info to help me out and other BHW's who may end up in a similar situation.

Digital Point is a joke in my opinion. Speaks for itself when the owner was sued for cookie stuffing. Only the best do not get caught.

Oppss seems nothing here on how to figure it out..

Steps to follow: Follow these steps and you are good to go..

1. Go to Privacy Settings

You can control who can see specific elements of your Wall on the Privacy Settings page.
In the "Sharing on Facebook" section, select one of our four simple privacy options: Everyone, Friends of Friends, Friends Only, or Recommended.

For more detailed options, click "Customize settings."

To remove a particular Wall story:
- Hover your mouse over the story or post in question.

Click the "x" button that appears to the right of your post.Confirm by clicking the "Remove post" option.

To prevent specific applications from publishing to your Feed:
- Go to the "Applications and Websites" section of your Privacy Settings.

Select "Edit Settings" next to the "Applications you use" section.
- Click "Edit Settings" again next to the application that is publishing unwanted feed stories.

You can now "Remove" any of the permissions you gave to this application.
You can also select "Remove application" if you no longer want this application to access any of your data.


That's ALL! Simple as that and no one can post into your wall ever.

Please hit the Thanks +Reps.. That's all i ask and i hingly appreciated.

Just because people make money from it doesn't mean I should just allow it to happen on my profile pages which are making me money through non-spamming means.

Thanks for the reply. I don't want to disable everyone from commenting on my wall.. I didn't have any spam apps installed, I had Scrib or something and I removed that.

Also, I can't see these posts when I'm logged into my account, so the red X is not an option - and is why it's so annoying! Only through external accounts do these spam links from the fanpage display.

Is there no way to add this particular fanpage to a block list or something?

You can always change the permission in wall settings how many people can post to your wall..
 
You can change your privacy features to fix that. You can also block and report the profile. Good luck on getting past that nonsense. :)

How do I do that? It's a fanpage not a profile - so it doesn't come up as a reference when I search for it in the 'block' area of my profile settings.

This is SO frustrating...
 
I guess it seems like they are using some form of code that not many people know about and therefore makes it extremely hard to stop! Sucks for me...

I would still appreciate some help if anybody knows of a possible solution to this.
