So I've been managing a few FB ad accounts with varying results.
Some are really hard to get clickthroughs more than 0.05% costs below $0.80
Yet some, with less impressions (same targeting methods)
CTR 0.16% + CPC down to $0.16, and If I'm using CPM, sometimes even lower.

I made the mistake the other day of pausing the CAMPAIGN - not the ad.
When I restarted the campaign, all the suggested bid prices went up!
and because my existing bid price was down in the $0.20 region - facebook didn't give me any impressions at all.

I've been tweaking the campaign all over and over again to get it back to it's original stats, and it makes me wonder if some of my other accounts despite having the same settings are susceptable to some kind of glitch, or preference system in FB that is the same in google adwords

Test it out! I don't mean split testing the same campaign! I mean different campaigns between different accounts. Is there something to do with the user that FB gives preferential rates to? Any thoughts on this would be great. I've learned a lesson - If you get a campaign that works, DON'T FREAKIN TOUCH IT! just pause the individual ad instead.
LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE HAD A SIMILAR EXPERIENCE because the cost difference I'm talking about is a matter of a few hundred dollars a week, when I haven't changed any settings.

I'm hoping that I get back down to my original $0.16 CPC and less :S

way off the point here but lol fucking love your username, may be 2 words but i get what it really means ;x

anyway that sucks man at least you know what to do now, always test your stuff

LOL yeh thanks. haha

I just want to know if there is some kind of formulae or glitch in FB that gives preferential rates for advertising (as can happen in google ads) What causes me to think this is because of the split testing between different user accounts as well as something to do with the jump in rates when you start new campaigns, - or in my case restart a campaign that was working pukka:confused:

I have a method to get stupidly low cpc very easily. PM me to buy the method. Been using it for a year. Don't think anyone else knows it but I don't really wanna sell it. But OP hit me up

This is noted... I've had issues with split testing new images in existing campaigns with decent CTR. If I have a decent CTR on an ad, say .114, Facebook will not give a new image ad any impressions within the same campaign. However, if I recreate the high CTR ad and change the copy, Facebook will throw that ad some impressions. Anyone else come across this?

Also, whats the trick to low CPC other than high CTR? I'm too new here to PM anyone... I start my bids low, and tick up .10 every 20 mins till I get impressions. However, if I end up at .40 bid before Facebook gives me impressions, even at at high CTR over .1 my CPC never goes below .20. I'm currently testing the dropping of my bid on my high CTR ads that are established to see if I can get to a low .04 CPC. If one of you guys could PM me any other tips on getting that low CPC that would be great... I'm too new here to PM anyone... Facebook is a redheaded stepchild, that's for sure! :)
