Can't invite friends to FB group

When trying to invite friends to Facebook group I get typical error message. Does not happen with some small accounts I've tried. Only with two large accounts. What's up?

Sorry, something went wrong.

We're working on getting this fixed as soon as we can.

It means something went wrong.

My point:

This has been going on for several days.
I cannot invite friends to any group with my 5000-friend account.

My friends have no problems inviting people to the same groups with smaller accounts.

Is that related to a new Facebook restriction?
It's does NOT seem to be a random error!

Facebook is timing out anything that takes more than 30 seconds to load.

Does anyone know why?

Is that the reason you think this problem occurs?

I've realized that the invitation tab takes longer to load the more friends you have...

Another account with 3000 friends CAN invite them to groups.
Not accounts with 5000. Problem remains unsolved.

Is anybody else having this problem?

Is it really a timeout?

With an account with 3000 friends does not happen.
Still happens every time I load the invite tab on any group with 5K friend account.

I mean inviting friends to become members of the group. Nothing to do with events.

Worked fine two weeks ago

Hey there,

just read this post...........i seem to be having the same problem on my account that has close to 5k contacts.

When i try to suggest a page to friends, an error message is displayed:

"Sorry, something went wrong"

Has anyone found a way to fix this, been like this for weeks....
