I'm interested in methods to use Facebook to generate traffic to a humor website?


- Fan Pages ? (Buy fans, but to expencive?)
- Promote links on other fan pages (Is it any good?)

- Create Profiles and promote your own Fan Page (If it can work, how to do it?)


Any other advice you might have?

2. link to your website from the fan page. open up the comments section, put nice graphics on the fanpage
3. do a lot of wall posts on popular pages, add friends depending on the demographic of your website etc
4. make a viral app
5. invite ppl to the app
6. get traffic to your page via the app, post status updates promoting your main website

Thanks, great points. I just get stuck at no.4 though. Can you pont me out to a resource where I can learn how to build fb apps..something easy to understand!

I also like the know what wierdo asked about...

And "3. do a lot of wall posts on popular pages, add friends depending on the demographic of your website etc" < from your experience do these posts get enough traffic and would facebook ban your domain if they see ALOT of posts beeing made to advertise your website?

useful steps.

Look for WizGizmo's thread as he posted few useful eBook on the Fanpage viral marketing. But i cant remember whats the title of the thread.
