I'm fairly new to internet marketing so forgive my lack of knowledge in parts. You read right, I have 20million email addresses but am looking for a way to bulk email them all. Because Gmail only lets you send 500 at a time, Yahoo just plainly didnt let me send any. Just had a question as to what email service I could use or ways around sending 20million emails. I have other email lists ranging from 750 right upto 20mil, some have 20thous etc etc... so any input is greatly appreciated!!!

You could buy Atomic Mailer and mail from your desktop.

The best thing for you to do to make quick bank with that list is, download a SMTP based email sender, there are many available do a google search for them. Then in the settings put the smtp settings from your high speed internet provider you use and load the list with a well written email message with a good ol affiliate link from commision junction and then sit back and see the wild results.

actually... i'd say 95% of them are dead.... but that's just my HONEST opinion!!...

depending on where you got that list... it's probably been beaten to death, dragged through a fire pit, and pissed on twice....

I believe in *building* your own email list....
with an opt-in from your own site, you could build 20,000 emails in a matter of 2 months, and use that for your regular traffic!!!...

Just to let you know spam email doesn't convert. Researchers used storm bonet to send out around 300 Million emails and only 28 converted...

Presumably some sort of import but in what? I'm trying to use a smtp based email sender like fartmaster said but it just aint happening for me! How do I import it into there? It's not letting me. OK 1st question is where did you get the data from? Did you collect it your self? Did u buy a cd from ebay or some other fool selling a list of shit data? How ever u got the data(unless from a list broker/cleaner) The 1st thing u have to do is de-dupe the list, then you need to run what is left again a data base of known anti's and all well known spam cops and spamhous emails then run it against known anti’ URL’s. once this is done you may have a list of emails that are 90% cleaned. Then the next step is to mail that data to find out how many are dead. Once u get that far pm me for the next step.

Don’t listen to any one that tells you that you can’t make money doing bulk email marketing. What you have is a list that I’ll guess all the spammers have. Things u have to have is tools to manage/clean your data, and good software to send with(None are listed in this tread). And you need a admin that can do the right setups so you can mail legal.(if you in the usa) Note only a few list brokers are for real and you wont find them searching google.. I mean you wont find good clean data that can make you great money.

Any case good luck and never use your home ip to send or reply to your marketing leads.

I used atomic mailer. But be aware that your ISP might shut off the port to bulk email submit. Comcast did that to me.

Charge every person $20 a month. 20x100 is $2000.

$2000 extra dollars a month. If the list is super responsive I would raise the price.

Like $40 for 2 ads a day.

if i had a list that big, i would first try to clean it somehow. remove non-existent domains, spamtraps, etc.

then, send out through proxies, remove the non-existent accounts, and then start working on the emails you have there.

most likely, out of 20 million, you'll have about 3-5 million usable... even those will probably be pretty dirty...

Actually, spam profits depend on what you are selling, and how well you market. The Russian Business Network conrols most spam, often renting out access to their botnets to spammers.

But certainly the convert rate for penis enlargement, viagra, online meds, and phishing emails by all accounts only convert 1:100,000 spams according to and FBI quote. The research quoted above is more like 1:12,000,000.

Other resarch I have read says that 28% of Internet users have actually bought from spam before. Dont confuse that with 28% of all spam converts......just that 28% of Netizens have bought at some stage or other.

NO ISP will let you spam through their servers.

Spam delivered via a botnet is a large list of addresses, broken down into smaller lists, each sent from the IP address of the zombies making up the botnet.

Ive never done this before but I heard there are website that you can sell email lists too. If you have alot of email address (ex. 20 million) you should be able to make quite a bundle off those. That is what i would do if i was you.

Don't be so quick to dismiss this. Considering it costs somewhere around $1/million for a lower quality list, if you find some program that pays $40 per, that means you've earned $1120 in revenue, minus your $300, so net profit of $820 profit. Not too shabby.

They must have used a really low quality list, selling something way over priced, or selling something that just doesn't sell well to only get 28 converts. A decent list of that size for a lower cost product (less than $49) should produce between 1500 and 3000 sales, so even a product that only pays $10 per sale thats still $15,000 to $30,000 revenue.

if people knew how easy it is to make real nice qualified list, I would be out of business.

if you really want to work at your list, then you need to spend time ( money is not the real issue in making great list, I think it's the creative time ).

just think about this. if your targeting the film industry ( which I did recently ), you need just one post on CL to get 25 leads, I placed 3 post on CL in specific categories and I was able to produce over 125 leads in 7 days. given it's not a lot but it's super targeted, which over the time period I was able to grow this list to about 1K. my client was able to contact all these leads and did all right. besides now I mail theses people monthly with cheap movie theater stuff and other goodies ( if I make 50.00 for the 30 minutes I spend, I am happy )

I know for a fact, 5K investment with 200 hours of creative time can build you a list of 3 million double opt in leads, very highly targeted, and mailable without any issues.

Dude, don't mail anything from your home computer. Invest in a dedicated server (priced anywhere from $40 to $125) get some proxies and sendsafe or DM3. Then get your money man!

Do you have a suggestion for cleaning a list? Is it possible to clean an email list without sending to all of the bad email addresses on the list?

there are services that will do it. i believe they charge by how many records.
there are also email address verifying software that will look up the domain first and if it exists, check if there is a dns record for a mail server, then connect to the mail server and check for the existence of the user. if you plan on doing this yourself, you'll probably need a lot of ip addresses to do this.

If you're from the US or another country with harsh penalties for spamming and you don't know how to do it right, seriously, don't even try it. Spamming successfully isn't necessarily hard, but it requires extremely specialized knowledge and you need connections to people who can provide hacked proxies, and everything else you need to mail. Even if you knew exactly how to spam, if you don't have the personal connections, you can't do it. Also, if you're a noob and you don't know shit about how spamming works and how to be undetectable, if you try it, you'll probably get shut down very quickly and possibly arrested.

And whoever says spamming doesn't convert or doesn't make much money doesn't know what they're talking about. Yes, click through rates are lower, but that doesn't matter; this is mitigated by sheer quantity. A person can make over a thousand dollars a day spamming; some people even make several thousand per day.

Spamming is an insider business. If you're not already on the inside, there's probably no one who is gonna help you with everything you need to know to do it. People here are pretty tight lipped about spamming. It's a crime in most developed countries.

In conclusion, if you are a noob, I strongly suggest doing something less risky. How about cookie stuffing?

But when you send emails via SMTP server running on your own PC or send email via Gmail SMTP from your own PC, your IP Address will get exposed in the email header and anyone will be able to trace back to you.

3rd - Sending emails via Hosting

This is inst very easy at all. Because hosting site doesnt allow you to send more than 300 emails per hr normally and normally when you cross 1000s emails, they will delete your hosting account.

So, now you have to decide which option to use, try to use the combinations.
