This works great for craigslist advertising where the standard gmail reply feature will not work.
1. Download and install
thunderbird
1a. If you already have thunderbird this is where it gets fun.
2. Download the text file I attached. Read it so you know I am not harming you then rename it to a .bat file. If you don't understand batch files what you need to know as they act like links to the command line in Windows via DOS.
2a. The batch file opens thunderbird to the profile manager. Plus it allows you to open as many thunderbirds as you want at once. One per profile.
3. Set up a new profile for each campaign.
4. Determine how many emails each campign will be sending per day. Basicly figure your response rates to each email. Each email can send up to 500 messages perday via gmail.
5. To make managing this easier you will forward your mass of emails into a number of main accounts. The main accounts should be hand made so they look more real to the people you reply back to.
6. For all the fake acounts set up forwarding in gmail to one of the main accounts.
7. Set up each main account into thunderbird. Remember to set and configure the outgoing mail server for each(people forget this set and all mail goes out from one server). Also remember to make sure each account is set to use it's own folders for everything including junk mail and templates.
8. Set up some templates under each main email account in thunderbird. New message > Choose name > Create email > save as template
8a. Even if all acounts use the same template save it under each account.
9. Set up filters(tools > filters) for each account based on how you want them to reply. If you are using craigslist an easy way is to find the similar part of each craigslist email "To:" area that you use and set the filter as. "To:" "Contains" "sales" for example. Then choose it to send the template you set up. Also have the message sent to the trash.
10. Test it, Use it
10a. Remember to turn it off when you post so you can get the verification emails fro craigslist. Once you have activated all ads delete those messages turn on the filter and if any emails came in from guys during this time just hit run filter on inbox.(which is why I had you set it to delete the messages)
10b. Also set the accounts to auto empty the trash folder regularly.
10c. Yes you have to leave your thunderbird open all the time for it to send out but if you want to look more real just turn it on here and there. You'll look even better.
Bonus tip you can set it up for them to reply back to you to make it even more real by using multple conditions so that each template is only sent when certain conditions are met. I've done this to two levels. if you are good with thinking and figure what will make each unique I figure you could get to at least 3-5 replies. But really one or two works best for us. Any more and you need to be using a bot.
