Default Is aWeber the best?

I'm thinking about buying this to build and manage my email lists. Is there anything anyone else would recommend?

i use it for white hat purposes, but I wouldn't use it for black hat because they have a verified opt-in. Meaning people have to verify that they want your emails before aweber ill deliver them. ie. not good for mass spam.

Hope this helps. Somone remmomended mailboy to me.

Yep Chillyd is right. Aweber is one of the best solutions for opt-ins and building your list white hat style. When compared with other solutions their starting price of $19.95 a month is a bargin. They could be charging alot more like their competition, but I'm glad they are not.

The user interface could be a little more helpful when starting out, but they have guides to walk you through steps that you are unsure of.

Also just to point out..if you already have an email list, you can't just import those emails into the aweber database. You will have to re-opt in those members i.e send your people an email asking them to opt-in to your new email list.

there is a better solution.
No monthly fees, black hat, white hat doesn't matter.
You can import any email you want. Imports 500 emails per second. You have total control, it is on your own server.
Autoresponder, email list, ezine you name it.
One time fee.

Best on the market.

PM for details.

I just took a small part of your post here, but my problem with my own server(s) is I never get the deliverability rate I get with AWeber. They kick ass in getting by spam blockers and other filters that different hosts, ISPs, major email hosting sites have enabled. I've tried a million solutions on my own servers and I've used different servers, I've even optimized them with all the proper settings to get by all these filters and I still have the problem of getting jammed up in filters all over the place.

To me AWeber is the best email solution right now as far as reliability of delivery to different ISPs and hosts.

I have to agree with vze2yqtm. I've been using aweber for about a year now and they are fantastic (for white hat purposes). The delivery rate is exceptional and service is unbeaten.

getresponse has a free version which I would think is your best bet rachusrs. You can also import contacts with them which is a great plus for blackhats.

Aweber is cheap and the delivery rate is probably the best I've seen.

aweber is probably whitelisted with more isps than most autoresponders, therefore they have a high delivery rate. great for someone just getting started.

Aweber is a pretty good service.

Of course, other better "online" autoresponder services include:

GetResponse.com
ConstantContact.com
1shoppingcart.com

"Own Server Hosted" autoresponder systems include:

AutoresponsePlus.com or arp3.com (they are moving home at the moment)
ListmailPro.com

The effectiveness and deliverability rates of Own server hosted autoresponders often depend on the hosting account on which the script is installed in.

However, all autoresponders have a bit of a learning curve to overcome at first.

Separately, you'd want your autoresponder to have a high rate of successful deliveries.

Oh, and the answer to your question is: it depends... on your past experience with autoresponders, on whether you'd be working with lots of bulk and/or co-registration leads, do you have an existing database to migrate to the new service...but Aweber is a good service : )
