As people have already said, claims will start coming in through Paypal. You simply cannot trick people on eBay any more, and walk off with the cash. It's not gunna happen.

Dang, this is funny. Not for the guy selling the coins, but simply just how gullible people really are.
I was selling iPod replicas a few years back on gaybay.
I sold around a 1,000 which were dropshipped.
I even put in the description 'genuine ipod replica' and people STILL paid for them.
He will get his PayPal account frozen, but if the guy can prove that he has not done anything wrong, they may unfreeze it. The only problem I can see is that he put 'undated' in the item description when it had a date on one side.
In the UK he could be prosecuted under the Trade Descriptions act, but I really do doubt it. And if he did, he would only have to pay the money back, which pisspal would do for him anyway.
If the boys in blue did come knocking well, lets face it, this is the uk and the laws are piss poor. He MAY get done for fraud, but in the uk he'll be unlucky to be prosecuted and if he does get a sentence-say 6 months, he'll probably get it reduced for good behaviour etc. to 3 days.
If you think how many peeps are fiddling the system on gaybay, well it beggars belief.

Ok..So I've read 3 pages of this thread. Here's what I can say;
-FBI will NOT come knocking on his door - Jakes will.
-IF he gets convicted he'll NOT join Madoff in a jail cell. He'll be in what in the US call "Minimum/low Security" facility with access to swings and playgrounds and what not.
-This is POCKET P fraud.

I know of someone who committed fraud for a sum of 6-7 digits. Guess what he got; 1.5 years, in which he got out after 1 year. Committing fraud in UK is not looked upon like in the US, so already there he's almost in safe haven of just spending a week behind bars. Of course it sucks to go jail since they might dig in your bumhole to make sure you don't carry punk or pills in with you to have a joke time, but for the reward he's been getting --- given he could get the $$$ out of paypal and then go bank and take it all out --- the sentence will not equal the profit.

Good luck to the OP still even tho he pissed off quite a severe amount of users from the looks of it. However, I doubt that a collector knows "badmanz" around his area ready to spray up his yard with macs and aks.

Then 5 police vans raided the family home UK, video surveiulance, turned the family house upside down, seized all my fathers shit and well lets just say.... it was full on blue lights.. and my little red passport was under scrutiny...

Lucky for me i hadnt set foot in my home country for 5 years and never intended to at that time, i was working my ebay game all from sin city and paying the post offices off with whisky and cookies...

But the lengths they will go if they think they got someone big to make an example of, they really did put in a lot of work...i was rather suprised at the fact..

Witness reports, like huge files of everything and transaction id done, statements from past sellers. absolutely loads of work went into to getting my ass. aparently 6 months surveilance except they failed to check if i was in the country. LOL and busted a house without me in... it still makes me laugh to this day, how retarded is that... haha!

They ended up busting my mum in her pajamas and my old man who didnt know what was going on. yep you guessed it, acc registered in home country...

Anyways kid, its not fun and its not really worth doing, if i had my time again... well sure im glad i played it cos hell it was some serious excitement and coin.

As a 4 year silver powerseller I must say you rocked it either way. The funny thing with ebay and coin dealing is that there isn't a way to prove that they are fake, or authentic. The coin business is very very dirty. I bought an altered coin... I tried to sue the guy for selling me a fake.... Didn't work... I appealed and appealed but eventually we settled... He had to pay me and I got to keep the coin. I ended up selling the coin back on ebay - LOL the funny thing is people collect altered coins as novelties. And that's exactly how I did it... Sold it as a REAL fake coin.

im here all is well nothing is happening No fraud no nothing ive won the disputes in paypal too as my description was right

just wait..your problems will be popping up before you know it.
Something like this happened to me..so I know for a FACT that something could very well be brought against you.
