Stealth Accounts, what happens when they look for photo ID and passport numbers etc.

If you have done everything right in setting up ebay and paypal stealth accounts (non-US) and a few months down the road your paypal is limited and you are giving a 14 day time frame in which you have to produce a drivers licence or passport, and they apparently check the passport numbers to make sure it's valid, what do you do?

I have heard it's possible to get around this (rarely) by claiming to have no licence or passport and they may request a birth certificate as an alternative, but that isn't something you can just fiddle with and print off, they can easily check it on computer to ensure it's genuine. I have also heard things like "ah paypal only glace at things like that and as long as the name matches up bla bla" i was told, in person, by someone who is teaching courses in ebay for the past 5 years that many people have now come to him explaining how it was not that easy to get around this verification process and they gave up the account.

Any input?

My (stealth) account got limited last week, with $1700 in there.

I made up a fake licence, fake birth certificate and fake electricity bill. Next day, unlimited. Full access to my account.

So yes, it is definitely possibly and I found it quite easy. (I used Photoshop to edit existing documents. I'm a Graphic Designer so my final artworks are top notch)
 
They don't really check the numbers. I got unlimited with a scan that I edited and blurred a little.
 
However you set up a PP account, with real or faux info, you should not be keeping large sums in there. You should also have your docs already scanned and on hand/prepared, so when/if the limitation happens they can be emailed or faxed in to speed up restoration. if you are concerned about passport numbers possibly being checked, use the country's ID card instead. Account limitation is an expected obstacle to your doing extended business on PP, just prepare in advance for it and don't leave enough in the account that you freak out when/if it gets limited.

What are they, government?

Dont be ridiculous.

They just check if the name is same in passport/ID and if ID looks legit.

Hopefully paypal don't check addresses, because if they did the virtual address i am using would show up on google search results as a mail forwarding company.

For non-US paypal users, at what point do they generally limit your paypal until further verification? Is it once you earn over 1000 euro/GBP using it?
 
It is unlikely that paypal can check all the documents that are being sent to them, but anyone knows for sure that a random sample isn't selected to verify with authority? What type of shopped documents carry less severe penalty if prosecuted?
 
I can assure that they never check photos on passport or id card or drives license pictures,numbers etc.
I've successfuly made 100+ normal and businss accounts without any hassle at all.
sometimes i opened 3-4 accounts per day using same id card and it passed....
I really think they should make some security changes :D ... I'ts really ridiculous.

But until they start to check we are the winners.....lets hope it last longer!!!

Sweet, were they all set up with vpn, and stealth, or did u also set up multiple from the same ip?

Just made new pc profile for each account.
I have dynamic ip so i just restarted my router and thats it.
When changing profiles then again had to change ip again.
Also sometimes i used vps as well...only because i made it for someone else who wasn't from my country.
