Getting parents started on eBay
So recently my parents have been telling me they want to get into eBay. Being a good son and all, I've been supportive and am gonna help them, knowing that there is a lot of money to be made eBay.
Now, I was curious, are there any guides/books out there you'd recommend for them to read to get started? I wouldn't mind buying the book if I have to do so.
Anything you guys recommend?

Lol, also note I'm not an advertiser, the developer or even a buyer of the book, I think the best way to learn is through experience.

Re: Getting parents started on eBay
It really depends on what they want to sell on eBay. If they are just trying to sell the old stuff in their attic you don't really need to teach them the ins and outs of eBay. They'll be satisfied enough getting a good amount of money for their old stuff.

Good point bro, should have been more clear in my post. They are thinking of heading into the direction of a business. They have sold old stuff of theirs on eBay before, so they do have an idea of how eBay works. But I was looking for something that would get them started on turning eBay into more of a business model (buying wholesale and such).

I'll let you know if I find any more info
Seems like the most important part (well, obviously) is to find the right products, with high margin. With the eBay and PayPal fees, selling small priced items won't cut it. The fees will kill you.

Re: Getting parents started on eBay
I've read just about every ebook out there - they all suck.
I've scanned through most of the books related to ebay at borders - they all suck.
The ebooks will tell you some lousy way to make money which will probably get your banned. And the books simply tell you how to sign up, and create a selling account.
Read the "everything you need to know" thread, your paretns can start buying and selling pallets of goodies.
of course, there is a learning curve but as someone stated above, they just have to do it.
The problem with book is the simple fact that by the time they get published, they are already out of date, like most tech stuff, you just need to do it.
