Ebay/paypal has this new deal were they are withholding payments for new accounts. They withhold the payment until the seller "proves" he or she shipped the item.

I am reselling things. So this payment withholding is really screwing me because every time I get an order I have to pay out of my pocket. And I'm selling intangible objects so I can't add a tracking number or anything to expedite the process.

One of the requirements to getting instant payments is by achieving 10 detailed seller ratings. I was thinking of getting some friends accounts and "buying" products from me. Then giving ratings for each item.

The question is. Will this work? can someone leave multiple detailed seller ratings on one account by just ordering different shit from the selling account then rating?

normally after its been shipped i would call paypal and they would release the funds (the outsourced third world country workers are excellent vs domestic us csr)

you can either wait the 21 day period to have it released (you may not win a claim if they file a claim against you because its an intangible item, hard to prove delivery)

Yeah, total PITA system. I had three CSR's tell me that it was to "help me as an ebay seller."

It's to hold your funds and earn on it while they hold it, all under the guise of "security." Criminal, if you ask me. Any individual doing this would be imprisoned, but a financial institution doing it is business as usual.

Not to mention their sweetheart deal with the USPS to require confirmation in order to release funds faster. GHEY.

We have to get used to the fact that all these systems like adwords, ebay, paypal, facebook etc have way too much exaggerated security systems. It became really hard to play the game compared to 2-3 years ago.

I would even say we live in a time of exaggerated security - the main websites we deal with and try to make money from are just annyoing these times!

The solution for your problem: Go to fivrr and buy as much "ebay feedback" as you need! I did it and i can recommend it

I had this very same problem, but as i started selling a lot of items and started receiving feedbacks, I broke free of these 21-day holds! You just need to keep selling the item the right way, I don't think letting your friend leave DSR ratings on multiple item will help, i think they will all just count as one feedback.

On eBays point of view, it's to keep the community safe, i guess. So you need to prove to eBay that you are a straight forward seller. The only problem would be if you are getting your items dropshipped.

Business is about taking risk, maybe throw in some of your savings!
