I recently crossed the $2,000 mark on one of my paypals I went to withdraw and they limited me wanting my ssn and proof of id and such. I only had 2 2 returns that didn't open a case so I'm confident thats not it. I had heard it was 200 transactions or $2,000. is that still correct?

Could you setup a account in "another country" to avoid this issue in the future?

its probably what you're selling although the 3 accounts I currently have active selling vero average 2,000 a month but have not been limited. its probably a certain item you sell.

PayPal limits u based on a lot of factors, what your selling and how you selling them

Paypal will limit you regardless when you reach a certain amount. Here in the UK it is £1900 as your receiving limit, then they ask for proof of ID and what not.

IF its a new one they will limit your account irrespective of what you are selling. Getting 2000$ for new account look fishy for them.
Also there are no rules like if you cross the 2000$ barrier your account will get limited. Once you provide all the necessary proof and documents you will not face any problem. but in the long run taking money through papal is a pain, cant expect what happens next.

Also withdrawing too often or too much at one time can cause you to get limited. So many factors that can get you limited, hard to pin point what causes the limitation.

I was selling the same items as I was on my other accounts just a little more volume.
Fixing to move away from ebay/paypal anyway.
Just got accepted for a offshore merchant and putting the finishing touches on my site.

Anybody ever tried to incorporate advertising for your site on a ebay listing just to drum up traffic to start off?

Lol, once they limited me when I tried to withdraw 7$.

It can definitely be done, and the results are pretty descent too. You have to get creative as to not get your add flagged(picture with url/Clickable pitcture) but i have done it a in the past.

I would like to know more about your offshore merchant account venture, would like to know how to go about it.

Its $20,000 and 200 transactions but sometimes they can ask for it before you reach that mark. You tried to withdraw $2000 all at once? That is a no no. I try not to withdraw more than $500 at a time.

I tried to withdraw $450 and they reversed it. Amazing how it takes 3-4days to reach my bank account but even after 12 hours since I clicked withdraw they can instantly reverse it.
