It is amazing how stupid ebay is ...

So,yesterday I listed about 10 items for sale under my account. I had to VERIFY MY INFORMATION two times yesterday for some stupid reason which I don't know yet.

This morning, I woke up, hoping to see there were some sales of my listings because they were some great items that I was reselling after I bought them discounted from a local store here in my city. All I saw is , ALL MY LISTINGS HAD BEEN REMOVED. I check my email, I see an email that says your listings were removed for some reason but it did not say WHICH REASON. So I call them , because I wasted about 20 hours doing research on which items would sell good and was trying something new, ie buying from local stores and reselling stuff on eSHITgay, so I did not want all my wasted time to go away just like that. anyways, I call them for the first time ... after all their stupid, whats your name, whats your username, can you verify your address and all that bs, the Chinese lady, puts me on hold for a minute or two to REVIEW my account information. She comes back and says that I will need to talk to someone else regarding that, and she transferred me. So the next, PROFESSIONAL person, is another Indian lady this time... Again, I had to do all the shitty verify my information bs ... again, she puts me on hold, for 15 MINUTES! and no information regarding why it happened ... so the line got cut off and I had to call again ... Now comes the DUMB SHIT ... Another indian guy, of course, after he had just told me that he will only need to verify some of my personal information, he goes like, oh wait a minute sir, I see now that your account got suspended because we consider it as a high risk I asked what is the god damn reason because I hadn't done anything wrong ... I swear, he sounded like I've commited some kind of crime, ie killed someone or smth ... he is like, I'm sorry but i cant give any other information. Please call back ...

I was so confused, how'd this happen, what did I do wrong. I called back again, just to see one more last time if someone will be able to just tell me why and I would be okay with that. and the funny thing is that, they blacklisted my phone number or dunno what happened, after the , transferring your call to a representative message, they hung up on me .......... can you believe that, now I am seriously thinking what in the world did I do wrong to look like a fucking serial killer to them or dunno what. It's not like I was selling drugs or guns

I dont think this is usual ... if someone ever experienced this , share your story and what actions did you take ... did you ever get your account back?

What were you selling? That's terrible. I haven't experienced any problems to that extent.

That happened to be as well. Reason given "it's in our best interest to have your account suspended". LOL! I come from a country where scammers were kind of big on ebay (Romania) so I tend to believe that this is the actual reason - my country - but they can't be that because they would sound like racists. DAMN IT!

You apparently violated the Ebay terms of service in some way. Read the TOS line by line and you will know what you did wrong.

Your account must of been flagged by your competition because its a hot seller, Ebay checked it out and considered it a replica.. store you bought from might be selling some knockoff Jordans or whatever item you bought.

My friend and I started to sell items on Eebayy 3 month ago. We have two separate accounts on different addresses. When we started, Eebayy was giving new sellers $5000 and 100 listings per month. Since we were growing pretty fast, I realized that we need more space on Eebayy. Ebayy didn't want increase our limits, so I asked my sister for her account on Eebayy. She gave me it, but she said that she has some issues on it long time ago. I tried it and figured out that I can't list items there for some reason, since I was new to Eebayy I didn't pay much attention to it and created new account on her name, but I really didn't use it, because now they give new sellers $1000 and 10 items to list.

Several days ago, I checked my Ebayy account and found out that it restricted, my listings removed and I can't list anything. Then my friend called me and told me that his account is restricted too. I called Ebayy and found out that they linked me to my sister's new account and it against their policy to register new accounts when you have restriction on the old account. Plus it against their rule to register account if your relative or someone who lives with you has restricted account. We were working with my friend together, I was opening his account on my computer and he was opening my account on his computer, so they linked him to me. We were calling Ebayy many times, if my sister murdered someone, should I go to jail too. Plus my sister didn't care about Ebayy after she created her first account long time ago. She just bidded on item, but didn't pay for it and didn't get it, but since they tried to contact her and she didn't care about open case on Ebayy they restricted her. Now they are saying it's not in Eebayy interests to let me sell and I am too risky. What to do, this profile is very important for me, I am looking for new channels to sell my items, but still I need Eebayy profile for now.

Any advice how to resolve the issue?

I am 1000% I didn't do nothing wrong. The last representative, while I was talking to him ,he was going through the verification procedure,he told me first that everything is all right and it should not take more than 1-2 minutes to finish this up. And just like that, he told me that they just updated my account, WHILE i was talking to him , and informed me that my account was interrupted forever.

I bought them from an official Nike store I am positive they are not replica. Now that I think about it, it might be because my prices were the LOWEST on there, and there were literally thousands of listings of the same items, and most of them were POWERSELLERS. I am positive my prices were the lowest, so I guess those powerseller bitches complained or flagged my listings just to knock me off or smth...

Anyways, am not worried too much now ... Obviously ebay doesnt give a shit about us who just started selling ... They care about their dear power sellers and big companies, and of course the buyers, who are right 99% of the time ...

Yep what rytpillager said is it more than likely, they did the same to me a few years ago, it just takes ONE of your jealous competitors to complain that you are selling counterfeit or knock-off items and they cancel you asap, remove ebay store and everything, then it's up to you to prove your items are not counterfeit.
I thought it was pretty dumb of them when they did it to me with 100% positive feed back, no complaints from customers, but one competitor points the finger at you and crappybay will treat you like a criminal with no proof of wrong doing at all....

They did re-instate my account after after I showed p.o's and receipts for everything but their unfair actions caused me to lose money so I stopped selling on crappybay all together after that.

If you want revenge just pick up the phone and complain a competitor is selling counterfeit items and watch his account go down...you don't need any real proof at all!

Ebay must go down it has too much power, it owns paypal, practically monopolized e-trading, government must divide the company for healthy competion

Also when selling replicas. It is just insane how fast the trademark holders react sometimes. They even hire agencies that scan Ebay day and night for trademark violators. For example, one can even get a listing for some shitty little brand removed 30 minutes after listing it, late night on a Saturday.

It is possible that you sell some replica shoes or something. Maybe that is why they suspend your account.

ehay gets worse and worse as the years go on. Only advice I can give. Is to call and try to get a head manager on the line. Just put up a major stink if you have to, or just call up and nicely say that you need a number on how you can restore your account, let the person know that you have called x amount of times and got nowhere. And that you just want a number to someone to get your account taken care of. Or ask to speak to that persons manager, and ask them for help. I wouldn't worry about finding out what you did wrong. Just worry about how your going to get your account back. Or do some research and find a number via google lol.

Then maybe after that call back or email and ask what you did wrong.

But remember when and if you speak to a manager, they can be a major pain to deal with. I haven't had an issue like this with ehayy, so I cant say exactly what you need to do, those are just my tips from what I've done with paypal when I had my account suspended/limited and had to restore that. That was easy though. And from the many times I've dealed with Dish/DTV.

they didnt even give me a chance or ask to see a proof that my items were authentic. the worst thing of all is that I had 99% positive feedback(With over 75 feedbacks from what I've sold before)
heck yeah,I am going to pay my VA to do that ... flag the shit out of all the power sellers selling nike items.

okay, did you ever hear of COUPONS? If you actually care to get your facts right before you post shit on another thread, nike has a promotion going on with a good discount that actually can make you profit when reselling on ebay. If you move your ass and take a look at eGay, you will see that nike items are being sold at much much higher rates than at the nike store(at least the ones that I've found after a lot of research using terapeak). and thats happening with thousands of nike listings/items. But yeah, forgot that you are the smartest person on here and you have the right to talk bs without even knowing whats the real situation...

usually I buy from wholesalers, but sometimes you can get good deal in Target store

Sorry to hear this happened to you. eBay is definitely a dictatorship - they will cancel your auctions at a whim and they don't give you an opportunity to counter their reasoning at all. One person reports you and that's that. One of the things that I have found helpful is that by building up feedback they pretty much leave you alone. Perhaps you should sell some non-VERO items first before getting into selling Nikes. Competitors can be cut throat, just do what you can to get yourself on the powerseller list, then they'll leave you alone to sell what you want!

It's because of several reasons.

First of all, people from countries outside of the U.S. can not look much beyond a basic level into accounts and can not make major changes. Call eBay and ask to speak to the U.S. based Customer Service department. They will act offended or act like they don't know what you are talking about, but the U.S. CSR's are the only people that can make changes. The people from India and Singapore think they have more access than they really do.

The reasons why you were flagged:
the word "Nike" throws up a huge red flag to eBay.

Your account is immature. Anything you list that Could throw up a red flag probably will.

So, call up eBay and ask to speak to someone at the Utah Customer Service department. Explain the situation to them.

sorry that this is happening to you. Same thing happend to me two years ago. they suspended the account and paypal help all the money for 180 days. They are in control and sometimes there is noting you can do, especially if they will not explain exactly what the problem is and will allow your competition to flag you and not even give you the opportunity to respond

I didn't see this thread until now, but I'd like to put my two cents worth in it.

If it was a new account, then no wonder! Anything that isn't your own baseball cards will be flagged as a threat for new accounts.

If you are outside the US, then no wonder! If you were selling items made in china (replicas etc.) then obviously you would be flagged on a new account.

You have to start off selling one, make a successful sale, then sell again. Try to start off selling as little as possible and gradually earn rep on ebay. You can't come out and list 10 items hoping to start selling 100 items a month on a new account. It doesn't matter if you're 100% legit. Ebay sees you as a scammer.

How about this for retarded. I sold a computer to a guy and he returned it broken and missing parts and ebay sided with him. Luckily I pulled the paypal money first but they refunded the asshole and closed my 3 year old account and I'm guessing they will put it in collections.

I've never had any major problems with ebay, but I know the problems could pop up any second. They seem like the most strict site around and sometimes they seem to be strict for all the wrong reasons.

I know exactly how you feel. I had to go thruogh this type of bullshit about 2 months ago.

tips to get the best results of what you want (note i did not say "get what you want", because you probably wont):

-keep calling. there are 3 levels of agents imo:
-Non-US: by default they are completely fucking useless. They have no knowledge of wtf they are doing and 50% of them can barely speak english so the language barrior makes things even worse. just try to end the conversation as quick as possible because you will -not- get anywhere with them for anything "out of the ordinary"

-US but stupid: about 1 in 4 calls yields a US agent, of those, around 70% of them are fucking idiots. by "fucking idiots" i mean they dont know hwo to do their job, they cant answer BASIC questions, put you on hold for 10 minutes every time they are required to respond to you, etc.

-US and smart: EVENTUALLY, you'll get one of these guys. they are easy to work with as long as you are polite and don't show agression directly torwards them. often times they are female. these people will take care of you the best they can. I've actually befriended the last good rep i worked with, we discuss ebay selling together now

however, ebay is a flawed system. EVENTUALLY you might find out wtf happened, but I doubt youll be able to undo whatver they want to accomplish.

search my created threads and read my story. i was basically nearly banned for being "high risk", but was told numerous times "you're doing everything fine and by the book". The rep i've befriended suggested I open a secondary account incase my first gets banned, as i have managed to slide between a rock and a hard place where basically, people can fuck me when i buy something, but if i file a dispute ebay might ban me, simply because i've dealt with so many bad sellers when purchasing lately (and had 100% undeniable proof that the seller is in the wrong)

yeh ebay is a C***T but so far I havn't found a more reliable source of income, you've just got to be prepared

I have had many items removed from eBay.

When trying to sell Microsoft software I had to actually send the software into them to be inspected. Once I went through the process they verified my product returned it and allowed my ads. Perhaps you could provide them a sample for them to verify. It is the [Name Brand] Company themselves who verify it.

Go and get 3 to 5 stealth ebay accounts, and slowly build them up, once you get them built up a bit start spreading out your inventory over them, and remember to always have backup stealths ready to take over if any of the others get suspended

Man, thats sounds like an ordeal... sorting problems like this out can be a bigger nightmare... probably easier to set another account up with different info... good luck!
