I recently bought a lot of a particular product, it's an as seen on TV; sorry I cannot disclose right now.

I bought this product off one of those daily deals sites; they were selling really low; and there is a potential to resell and make $60+ per resale. These ARE NOT copies, they are original.

I have ordered 17, they will be shipped with the next 1-2 weeks.

My questions are the following:
1) Am I fine to sell on both eBay and Gumtree? There are a number of sellers selling right now, many have sold 20+; will I face any issues from either eBay or the actual company?

2) Can I face anything more than a banned account/warning for this? As I said, they are 100% legit, not copies; I will simply be reselling them (bought for around $50, selling for $125+).

3) Am I better off doing local pickup as opposed to shipping? There shouldn't be any issues with customs if they are legit, right?

If you are SURE they are real
then the only issue you'd face is
if you used the company's copyrighted promo images
but I'd figure they would not even care about that.

There was a huge promotion of this product, it'll sell like hot cakes over the Christmas season.

I am 100% they are real, no copies; bought from this site before and it is legit; they sell legit products.

Gumtree profit (local pickup method)
Sell: $120
Buy: $65
= $55 profit

eBay profit (shipping method)
Sell: $99 + $25 shipping
Buy: $65
Paypal + eBay fees: ~$10
Profit = $99 - $65 - $10 = $24

Obviously advertising to a smaller market (local) using Gumtree, but a lot better profit to be made and no fees as I get the money in cash.

I don't think people would take you seriously in Gumtree.

If it's not luxury brand name, you can list as much as you want in ebay. However it would depends on your feedback point. I think more than 50 would be fine.

If I can sell through Gumtree I'm looking at a far better profit than through eBay.

Luxury meaning? It's an as seen on tv promo deal, selling a particular product.

Just an update guys:

I have received all 17 of my product.

I have now sold 9, at a profit margin of $20-$35; I have sold 1 via Gumtree, the others through 2 ads I have up on eBay; one is a featured listing ($50).

Working on an average profit of $27 per product, deducting eBay listing fees, I will make a profit of $350-$400 for the weeks work; not too bad.

Exactly this, I will disclose however once I am sold out - let's just say thinking outside the box works, don't follow methods exactly; apply twists and you can make some quick money - ESPECIALLY around holiday season.
