    Question Suspend-Proof eBay Accounts?

I've heard in the past that accounts associated with eBay for over 5 years(or even better, 10 years) are suspension proof (suspension resistant) and eBay gives much leeway as to how they issue warnings and take actions against them. It seems like the high volume accounts with a lot of feedback and a good amount of activity since 2002 can get away with selling VERO items and borderline-against TOS items, judging from me looking at and being involved with these items.

Is there any truth to this? I'm sure they would be worth a whole lot to the right buyer.
If yes, are there any whereabouts of any hubs that sell these accounts?

Just a thought, thanks for your insights.

    No, it is not true.

You get banned no matter how old your account is or how much feedback you have.

The reason why these individuals sell a lot with barely any problems is because they are authorized re-sellers, they have their business certificate and they do their taxes.

    Hi,

Possibly newer accounts come under the radar faster and they will ban quicker...but I wouldn't say older accounts can go breaking VERO and rules....Maybe a couple of warnings 1st but still it's easily bannable. Had a 12 year account banend still do not know why.

While we're on the topic... I have a certain Ebay account with history and +ve feedback which has been restricted (can't sign up for Ebay affiliate). Would you guys happen to know what to do to get it back in working order?

I have 10+ old accounts and they don't have any limits BUT I don't feel like I can do whatever I want. They are not suspend-proof.
However, it is true that my newer accounts face a lot of examination.

    I have an account from 2000 with 2610 feedback and 0 neg/neutral.

And yesterday I got a copyright claim from a Windows 7 key I put up and I am going to be suspended if I relist.

So no, it doesn't matter how old your account is.

The first key I sold, sold in 10 minutes, and it was the easiest 38 dollars I ever made.

They are more under the radar. The older and more aged an account is, the better.

I don't think any account is "suspend-proof" but I definitely think they give a lot more leeway to aged accounts. I think the key to not getting suspended is to not sell too much of anything on one account. Create multiple accounts and sell one or two items on each account. I think a majority of people whose accounts get shut down are because they are selling too much too soon. The key is to fly under the radar and not make the competition feel the need to report you.

Nah I was talking to some friends about this. Just smoke and mirrors people trying to make their accounts seem superior etc. You might have some perks but you are not fool proof lol.
