UPS Store Box Under A Fake Name
Can you get a ups store box under a fake name? What's the method? Like do they check id's? I have the form filled out and the agreement signed. It says to bring that to the store so I'm wondering if that's all you have to do is just go in and pay after that. Anybody have one?

They will take a photocopy of your ID, you can always get someone else to open an account for you in exchange for compensation.

If the owner is an asian, offer them some extra money and they will go for it without id. Works everytime.

Re: UPS Store Box Under A Fake Name
Check out a virtual office. You can get a shipping address for about $15 t o$35 a month. SOmetimes even comes with a phone number. And for a fee they will ship stuff to you. I use to use them all the time years ago and few asked for copy of photo id. Some would try and get you to do a 12 month agreement. But month to month or max of 3 month is all I would do.

Re: UPS Store Box Under A Fake Name
Nah I didn't mean to be racist in anyway. Im being serious here. When I saw a white guy, they wouldn't take it. But when it came to an asian it actually worked. Not racist in anyway, just being truthful.

Re: UPS Store Box Under A Fake Name
open in your name and tell them you have a number of business entities that will be receiving mail. I do it with my USPS .. they don't care..they just look at the address

Re: UPS Store Box Under A Fake Name
Mate it's not racist to point out cultural differences in attitudes towards business. In some countries, no deals go forward without a "gift", it's very much the norm. Over here, these gifts are called bribes and are frowned upon. So ease up on the political correctness!!
I'm sure what he meant was, "if the owner is asian, he probably won't mind bending the rules for some extra money, because it's quite normal to do that kind of thing in his country of origin". Races are different from each other, and it's not racist to point out those differences, especially when he wasn't being derogatory about asians. This is coming from someone who suffered a lot of actual racism in the form of "go back to your dirty country, you're all animals" etc. Honestly, I'm arab in origin and I know that in a lot of arab countries if you want to renew your passport or something it'll take like 6 months, unless you give the clerk his *ahem* "gift", then it gets sorted in a couple of weeks. In fact, people fight over those clerk type jobs when there's a vacancy because they make some serious cash haha.
So I agree with indianagent. Find one that has an old indian or arab guy running it, make sure he has a heavy accent so you know for sure he grew up back home, and just say "aw come on man, hook me up" and give him like $100 or something. It'll work more often than not, because he wasn't raised with idea that doing something like that is wrong.

When you call out an entire race, that is racist.

The works everytime makes it racist.
No ifs and or buts about it.

LOL, thats super fucking racist. In some countries racial profiling is normal, while in other countries its illegal. BHW is hosted in the US, and racial profiling is NOT RIGHT in the United States, so I would tell you STFU.
Some Asians might accept a few dollars in exchange for something, but NOT ALL Asians would do that. Its called STEREOTYPING.

Re: UPS Store Box Under A Fake Name
Honestly mate you're being hyper sensitive.
If the guy has a heavy accent it means he was brought up back home.
Back home, "gifts" are culturally acceptable.
Therefore, more likelihood of him still having that cultural difference.
Go and see how people do business in other countries because you clearly have no clue mate, it's not stereotyping, it's how it's done. That how it's done in my country of origin. If I do business with a "born n bred" arab my approach would be different to with someone from the west. Go and learn about how to do business in Japan, that can be an eye opener for you.
And for the record you racial profile ALL THE TIME in the States. When I last flew to California I was the ONLY ONE who was stopped on entry, and asked a million questions about myself and my family. I was also the only arab on that plane. Neg rep me all you want btw, you have no idea what racism is.

They only stop racist people, it didn't matter you're an arab or not.
PS- You have a rep of 2..lol... I'm going to neg rep you just to see how low it can go...:P Stop being a racist and perhaps they will stop pulling you over in airports and you will have a better rep in BHW.

Re: UPS Store Box Under A Fake Name
I don't think you can get away with using a fake name. At least when I apply for the USPS PO boxes, it requires two IDs.

Re: UPS Store Box Under A Fake Name
Google "Cultural Differences and Customs in Bribery".
Then, once you've educated yourself, understand that what's being said isn't racist.
Toyo, thx for the neg rep, very mature, as was your last comment

OP, read that article and use it to your advantage if you find an owner who wasn't brought up with a western attitude towards business (hint: if he has an accent, there's a good chance it'll work).

Re: UPS Store Box Under A Fake Name
anyway - UPS box will want your real address, and 2 forms of ID if i remember correctly, drivers license and something else w/your name on it. just call them up and ask what forms of id they require along with the application
most virutal offices i called wanted the same form as UPS - so its gonna be just as hard to fake.
goodluck
and p.s. please let me know what you end up doing i need to set this up soon

Re: UPS Store Box Under A Fake Name
Wow did this thread take a turn!? Where you at mods?? Back to the thread. You have to give them ID if you are having mail forwarded which requires the US Post Office it get involved. The box rented in a way becomes a extension of a USPS post office box, so the owner of the UPS could loose their ability to operate PO boxes if they don't follow the rules. Now if you are using the UPS as your address I don't know how they handle that.

Re: UPS Store Box Under A Fake Name
All I see is newbs arguing with the more experienced members...which you should listen to their advice.
As for OP's topic, opening a po box under an alias is a no go unless you have a legit fake id. Which is usually risky when doing something like this.
When I opened a PO Box I already had a USPS online account but the made me give my id so they could photocopy it.
6 months down the line I changed my information on the USPS account online which was connected to the PO Box. So when I went to cancel the box in person they were unable to locate my box or my info.
So you can open a box in a legit name then change the info online which will take forever to find the owners info, but they will still have the original photo copied id.
If you do something like have a friend open a box for you, and add your name onto the list of people who can have access to it. They will most likely id you until they are familiar with you and will no longer ask for id which was the case for me.
I sort of rambled, it is possible to open a fake account using a fake info aslong as you have a fake drivers license/id that you actually got from the DMV. but it is very risky.
It is very possible to get legit fake ids, but that is another subject and VERY VERY risky..

Re: UPS Store Box Under A Fake Name
Their not looking to verify your current information, they just need to get a copy of some sort of photo ID.
I used an expired ID with an old address and told them that I have since relocated to another part of town (use an actual address btw). Also ask the UPS ppl if they would be okay with using multiple DBA's to your box. I've found most of the UPS stores are actually okay with that as long as you tell them upfront.

Re: UPS Store Box Under A Fake Name
oh and I wasn't talking about a UPS store since I don't know how the rules go there. I'm talking about the Mailbox stores (private ones). I did it at two locations. I paid extra money and they didn't take my license, so that was some good news. If I made a racist comment, then I do apologize as it was never intended. Anyways, carry on, this thread is good still.

You sound stupid.
Care to explain what race has to do with it?
