    Default Buyer Scam?

I have an item up for sale on eBay.
The auction has gone up to $500 which is how much it usually costs on retail.

The highest bidder currently has no feedback.
I'm worried it might be a scam because who would buy something on eBay from a seller with no reputation for MSRP?

Anything I should look out for? Tell tale signs?
    Thanks

Ask the buyer a few questions. Find out as much information as possible regarding this buyer based on email, name, address given before you send the item.
Be cautious if the buyer makes multiple smaller payments instead of one single payment. The multiple payments paid may be on different date and the total amount do not match the final price.

I've heard of buyer scams. like people buying stuff then saying it's fake blah blah, file a dispute on paypal then get their money back plus keep the item. Does that really even work?

some people still buy from sellers with 0 feedback, if the bid is at the retail price, then i wouldnt worry about it right now, you can't tell if the buyer is legit if they havent paid you yet. if they do win the auction, only ship the item if it says confirmed under their address. and if you still dont trust them, then just refund them and relist the item.

yes it does, but they'll have to ship "something" back to you.
