Watch out for eBay Buyer Scammers!

As you all may have known, there has been an influx of scammers on eBay and the best part is that they arent even selling any item.

They would buy high priced items or large quantities of small to medium priced items, then after receiving the item, they would file a dispute or do a charge back. After winning either through PayPal (because PayPal will never question their buyers) or through their Credit Card Company, they would keep the item and their money. This by any legal means is called stealing. Simple as that. Which means not only do u lose an item, but u also lose money from eBay+PayPal fees but now you also owe money to PayPal because the buyer did a charge back and there is no protection from that with PayPal.

Solution:

*Never sell to new buyers with 0 feedback.
*If buyer wins claim and keeps item + money, call their local police using the information from the address you used to ship them the item.
*Call eBay and file a dispute (in some cases you might win)

I have been selling shoes on eb-ay not on a big scale, but have had lots of problems with those 0 feedback buyers as non paying. I even got a message from e--bay to be careful with these kind of buyers. There has been lots of fraud with them lately, because they are not even registered at e--bay.

Yeah, screw everything about this. I hate selling to people with less than 0 feedback too. They're either scammers or very stupid. They're the most likely to leave bad feedback because they don't know what the hell they're doing.

I know exactly how u feel.

Some buyer did that to me from North Carolina. I sent the police after him, and when I got my item back, I didnt feel that was enough.

So using the information from the buyer, I made a new account based on his information with a VPN near his city. I sold some high risked "items" and when the buyers paid, I bought shipping labels but didnt send item though and i sent the money to charity. He then got collections agency at his door 6 months later owing $5.6k. In between I then used his information and ordered pizzas, "sexy" people for "bachelor party", found his facebook and myspace and posted gay pics after automatically being friends, ordered more pizza from different companies, ordered sex toys and posted on craigslist to come to his house for free stuff.

I then got an email saying:

"You little *****, you ruined my life. I have ur information too and I will do what you did to me...(then it went on)."

I replied:

"Shouldnt have scammed dude. BTW good luck using that information."

Seriously I have had the worst luck with scammers on eBay. I had a very successful store running a few years back, and I believe a team of people scammed me together. They effectively took me for around 2000, got my ebay, and paypal accounts banned. I was a seller with over a 98% positive feedback, and over 2000 items sold. Suddenly, I was the bad guy, and it is just unbelievable how paypal and ebay work.

Still though you should never openly admit to a crime, especially if it is id theft. Guess you didn't hear about this guy.

And I am still wondering why buyers trust it more (well why wouldn't they, they win almost all the time in refunds and stuff, only when I try to get a refund I get the @@s..) than anything else..

I was on anon's website when this happened and they said pizza orders would be hilarious.
