I've sold about 200 of one item over the past month and I just had my current listing removed for the first time by vero saying the items were counterfeit.

The removed listing had about 50 sold. And there are a bunch of other sellers on ebay and amazon whose listings are still up. I emailed the company through vero saying that I didn't know much about their product other than that I could profit reselling them on ebay and that I won't be listing the item again in case they turn out to be non-authentic. I also asked how they handle situations like this and if I should expect some kind of legal action. (likely a dumb move)

I then did some research and saw that the company had been cracking down on sellers and filing lawsuits on ebay sellers. This really worried me because a few months ago my girlfriend tried to have me sell her Coach bag which turned out to be a fake and I received a threatening letter that tried to extort me for $300 despite that the bag didn't even sell.

This is my legit ebay account with my legit info so how worried do you think I should be on a scale from 1-10?

It does not sound good for you, my friend. You seemed to have raised some red flags with people. Emailing the company asking if they were going to take legal action was a bad move. I would just lay low and try to remain as calm as possible. If something happens, well, you took the risk and you just might have to pay for it. Next time you will think twice

I would be pretty worried. As stated above, I would have laid low for awhile instead of contacting them right away.

ive had the same thing on multiple occasions a while ago but nothing came out of it.. ebay account is still alive and kicking.

why did you email them? were you paranoid? there was no requirement for you to contact them after your listing removal so you did a pretty bad move.

what product were you selling?

if you are going crazy over this shut down your ebay account and start fresh it may help clear your mind

Shutting down my ebay wouldn't be a good move because when you get a vero removal, they already have your info and I think that looks guilty. Think I'll just carry on selling other items.

I can still lay low. I think this way it seems more like a genuine response.

But...
My response thus far has been of someone that may have been ignorantly selling bad items when it should have been of someone that knew they weren't. damn.

You will probably be fine. Ignore any emails or letters about legal action and don't list those items anymore. You only have to start worrying if someone knocks on your front door to serve you a subpoena. (which probably wouldn't happen)
