First all, let me ask u not to dismiss this thread as another nooby "me wantz be a ebay seller hax0r u plz teach me how to be sellerz me wants millionz" thread.
It is true though im quite a beginner when it comes to ebay. I have never sold items at ebay before.
I want to start a ebay selling business. And i need some EXPERT help, to get started, im serious about this, im not doing this just to sell some old house stuff and make around $50 - $100 out of it. My goal is to earn around $1000 - $2000 monthly from ebay. I will buy items from those drop ship sellers or whatever they r called and then sell them on ebay. Or atleast thats what i plan to do.
I have read some threads on this, but to get started reading threads isnt enough. I know there are lots of ebay experts in this website, and i need 1 of them to help me get everything ready, and to make learn the tricks of the trades, by msn or skype.
Im not looking for the random helps like "make ebay, connect paypal, buy items from here (link), sell them, profit". I need someone who will teach me everything thouroughly at msn or skype.
Im willing to pay the person for help (if he wants to get paid for his time)
Let me clarify that, the person HAS to be a expert, i wouldnt take advices from a nobody. Someone who himself is a ebay trader/seller.

(Im not sure if sropshipping is the best business to have on ebay, so if u have any better business plans, i will hear about them too. I got money to invest around $1000. But im only going to invest it if i see atleast 80% chance of sucess.)

Hello my feeling on this is you should gather up all of your questions write them down somewhere and then search the forum here or over at ebay for the answers, thats one of the best ways to learn how to make money on ebay. Once you have all your info start selling slowly and build up good feedback and things will work out if you do the research first. Good luck to You.

Feedback is your most important asset on eBay. If you have bad feedback, no one is going to want to buy from you and if you have a lot of good feedback, eBay won't hassle you with restrictions and you will pretty much be able to sell anything you want once you get and sustain about 100 positive feedbacks in a 90 day period. I am currently working on building up my feedback as well and it is a long obnoxious process, but once you get there you are set as long as the customer doesn't dispute or leave negative feedback. I can't stress enough how important your feedback is.

The main thing im confused about is that how dropshipping works.
Here are the questions i have.

1)When i buy from a website that sells to dropshippers, do i always have to buy in stocks, and not single items? Because then if the item doesnt sell i will incurr a loss.

2)Do i buy the item ship it to my adress, and then ship it to a customer's address when someone buys it? That way i will incurr a huge loss on the shipping fees. Imo the better way is to just buy from the website and put the customer's address instead of my address to ship it directly to him.

3)If i do have to buy in stocks then how can i ship to a customer? Because lets say im buying 20 watches, and i have to ship 1 to a customer, then he will get 20 watches if i buy in bulk. So how exactly does buying in bulk or wholesale work?

4)If i do ship directly to a customer, and then paypal or my bank ask's about my business for security reasons, i will have to show them the tracking numbers. Now paypal's rule state that, the tracking numbers must show that the goods delivered have been delivered from the country which u put as ur residence in ur paypal account. I live in india, and im certainly not planning to buy stuff from indian companies, so lets say i buy from a american company, then the tracking number will show its shipped from usa. How do i explain the situation to my paypal/bank? I dont want my paypal limited, just for earning lots of money. Has anyone had this problem before?

Dropshipping is the method of selling an item you don't have for a small markup and when it sells the person who bought it from you sends you the money, you send the dropshipper however much it costs for the item, they ship directly to the buyer and you keep the profit. It is a very good method for selling if a) you have a reliable dropshipper with fast and cheap shipping methods and b) if you don't have a lot of funds to invest in stocking items as well as you plan on selling an item that has multiple styles and you don't want to buy a certain style and then no one wants it.

As far as buying in bulk/wholesale, in this case you would have it shipped to your address and then stock the items and reship them when they are purchased. This cuts out a little bit of profit but it guarantees a faster delivery.

As far as I have bought and sold stuff, I have never had an issue with Paypal saying anything about buying from my country. I have made several transactions with Chinese merchants and Paypal hasn't given me any problem.

What I would suggest is find something that you can sell that you know will get positive feedback even if you only barely make a profit and once you get the feedback you need for eBay to leave you alone, you are free to sell more items that have higher profit margins as long as everyone gives you positive feedback.

Buy the book "titanium eBay ". I got it from amazon and trust me it's one o the best resources out there. You'll learn everything you need to get started.
