How to extract images without watermark from dropshipping sites?
Fellow BHW Friends,
Sori if this sound too noob...but if I am to use DealExtreme or similar sites for dropshipping, yet all of their images are watermarked, how do you work around it if a particular item has no customer-posted review picture?
Thanks, appreciate your expert help!

Re: How to extract images without watermark from dropshipping sites?
If you are working with the drop-shipper, they should provide you a catalog of images (typically in XML form). If they do not, request it. Wholesalers, however, will not do this (they require that you take your own photos - real easy to do with ~$100 and some DIY creativity).
If you are talking about removing watermarks, though, the answer ranges from "no way, you're screwed" to "possible, but you need to know code". Watermarks are typically added one of three ways: directly to the image during editing, through processing via server-side languages, or as an HTML overlay. The first, you are completely screwed; the second, not quite as screwed, but difficult without knowledge of index snooping as you'd have to find the original image file; the third, pull your DOM editor up and see if you can find the file in the source, if you can't, run through your temporary resources, the file should be in there.
