I don't understand drop shippin
How does it work exactly?
I think I mostly understand but the thing that isn't adding up is if I pay a specific price for a item from a manufacturer, why can't the customer just pay for the item like me for a lower price?
I'm sure there's something I'm missing so can someone please explain, I have been searching on Google for about 4 hours now and still can't find any real information.

Re: I don't understand drop shippin
Drop shippers will normally give a discount to the re-seller while you sell it retail price or above. You then keep the difference of that cost.
regular customers normally cant get the deal unless they are an affiliate with the company, and have a re-sellers license.

People are just lazy. If they put in the work and searched they would do just that. As a matter of fact a lot of wholesale companies have started selling on Ebay and amazon once the craze had started.

So do I just contact the company to see if they would give me a discount for every sell I give them?

Re: I don't understand drop shippin
It's some sort of arbitrage with a twist...
You act as the seller of some good for a wealthy market of lazy buyers. They buy from you because they think it's the best price they can get.
You buy from some other cheaper merchant offering the goods your clients want, probably in a country where the same goods costs less, and directly ship from them to your own clients, placing the order as if you were them.
Ideally you'll never physically touch the goods you're delivering once you have found a reliable online store.. This means fewer issues with Customs and stuff.
