Hello.
Im looking for best shop software. Best if it's heap or free. And good for seo.
thanks

I think prestashop is the best free script. Good for seo and very fast.

For me nothing is best than Magento.. it has all the features that one can ask for. Beside this you can always try .. Zencart or Os Commerce.. they work good too..

i like big commerce.

I have 19 customer sites on this net work and love it.

i also have to customers sites that are on magento.

You have to pay for these two services but IMO well worth the money.

Work since a year on a mage plattform and I can say that it is the hell on earth. Sure, feature rich. But it has also an artificial intelligence producing new errors while you sleep.

i like wordpress, but wordpress shopping templeted too low.

I can't find how much magneto cost. Could anyone tell me?
thanks

People wіll tеll уou Magento but trust me, Magento iѕ a piece оf ****. It's slow, complicated to develop for and complicated tо use. Use OpenCart. It's quick, simple tо implement and dead simple tо use. It's соmе out mоrе recently than Magento аnd haѕ gained morе users than аny оthеr cart lаѕt year, including Magento.

Magento is great -- if you have a team of developers, its very large, slow on shared hosting and complex. It also has all the bells and whistles you will ever want!
Zen cart is a variant of osCommerce. Zen has a nice backend on it. osCommerce is really nice, and since it is probably the worlds most installed has a big user base -- follow the security threads if you use it!
OPencart is SWEET. Not that difficult to theme, very easy to us, a nice developer community, but few free addons -- mostly paid.
Not a prestashop fan, its not bad though.
I am currently running opencart, magento and oscommerce. My osCommerce store with no advertising, is sitting in the top 10 of google for over 30 products -- add on one of the seo mods and it is nice.
You wont go wrong with Magento, opencart or osCommerce. But if you choose Magento, get a vps, you will be a lot happier!

If you don't have many products i recommend you prestashop or magento, if your shop will have more than 10000 products, i recommend you xcart because performance will be very important.

i run a couple of shops on zencart. Works fine and has active community for all your questions.

tried magento but is much less clear what to do.

just my 2 cents..

Prestashop has a wide base of users worldwide, hence a lot of templates and add-ups ready, plus good info resources: forums, tutorials...
