    Default Noobie Mistake! Please Help

I have my website undergoing development and well they are pretty much ready to throw it on hosting site. Now the problem is that I bought my domain from another registrar about 30 days ago and im sure as most of you know that ICANN will not allow me to move my domain until I wait 60 days. I was thinking about 2 possible resolutions. First, maybe temporarily use another domain i have to the host the new site? Also, I was thinking about redelagating my site to my new host? I have to apply for my adsense during all this as well because it is a part my website development agreement and I am holding them up. With applying for adsense I don't if it would work to use another name since I would have to resubmit application for different site name.

Please advise me and let me know how to get out of this mess!

I'm not sure what your problem is. Is that you have domain in one company and server in other? In this case you need to just change DNS in your domain company fore one provided by your hosting company. This is simple to do and I'm 99.999999999999999999% that it can be dan.

I don't understand why you cant just point you domain at your host nameservers.
I've never heard of a registrar that doesn't allow this.
You don't need to transfer your domain from the registrar at all.

Your domain and hosting don't have to be from the same provider. Just change the nameservers on your domain and point them to your host. There are many guides on how to do this on this forum. Is there something that I don't see here?

As far as i know. There is no time limit to change host for a domain. The limit is for transfer a domain to another registrar. Please tell me if i'm wrong. I changed DNS for several of my new registered domains and it work just fine. Tell me which registrar you're using. If it's namecheap, namesilo or godaddy. I can help you. Otherwise just check the help/faq page on the registrar site and you will find the info about changing "domain name servers".

Oh and by the way, Adsense also have 6 months limit before applying. If you're going to apply for a new website. It will be denied immediately. So use your established website to apply for adsense and it will work fine.

Your domain and web hosting do not have to be from the same company. You can have a company that handles your domain, and another to host the files for the website. In fact, most people I know usually have the two separate. You just need to find out your hosting company's nameserver. You then simply go to your domain registrar and change the domain name server to point to those servers. It's really simple. Let me know if you have trouble, and I can help you thru PM.

Most people I know, including myself, have like people said above different companies for domains and hosting. I have my domains at GoDaddy (cheap) and my hosting at HostGator. Just change the DNS and you are all set.

You can not just point the @ ip address to the hosting you are using? I have done this many times works fine. Little slower dns lookup but no big deal.

All you have to do is create an A record pointing to the IP address you've been assigned by your hosting company.

You just generally setup one default A record which is either blank, the at symbol(silly moderation system) or * as the name value and the IP in the IP value with TTL set to the default of 3600.

Domain registration has absolutely nothing to do with your hosting.

This is how it works -

I typed out a long explanation of DNS, but I gave up because the moderation system thinks I'm a spammer.

Just wanted to say something related to Adsense: I got approved with 10-15 days old website (January, 2013). So, that's not true, unless they recently changed something.
