Default How to receive paymente for sold domain

Hey guys, I just received an offer for one of my domains. This is my first domain i would be selling and have to idea on what the proper procedures for receiving payments are. I had my domain lsited on sedo and the guy wanting to purchase contacted me directly, I gave him a price and he agreed. No negotiating or anything which to me makes it seem a little fishy. What procedures should I take in order to avoid getting scammed.

Escrow would be your best bet (Safest for both parties) or even Western Union!

Is there any risk on taking the direct bank deposit route? Once the payment is made can the buyer pull out and request a deposit cancellation?

Use Escrow.com. Sedo also have an Escrow system but it's a bit more expensive.

Do NOT accept any other form of payment (wire, western union etc.) unless they pay BEFORE you send the domain. Whatever you do - don't send the domain before getting paid. You will get scammed and you will come back here complaining...

I would go the route of escrow.com also, been there done that, it is secure.

It looks like this guy is a scammer. Now he wants me to 'order' a professional appraisal.
