    Default Rebuilding an expire domain

I purchased an expired domain and I am working on rebuilding it. I went to the wayback machine and grabbed any pages I could find and added them to my site.

What else could I do to help rebuild the site?

You can only take the fresh contents.

Only take fresh contents, same time keep the link structure as it was in the past. That helps to keep the backlinks intact for SEs and new content for readers

What do you mean only take the fresh content? The most recent posts were from 2 years ago.

Fresh Content= Unique Content. If you had used a content 2 years back and the content has already been deleted because the site de-listed, then I don't think there's any harm in using the content.

I don't think you can use the same content as it was in the past, just be copying and pasting that. Its violation of copyright.Domain expiration doesn't expires the content's ownership. So you gotta put Fresh Contents

Google phrases and sentences from the site "in quotes" to see if it is unique. Also read it to see if it makes sense. If it is spun it is probably not worth the effort.

You can use the custom permalinks plugin to recreate the old URLs.

Use the link juice keeper plugin to redirect all incoming links from no-longer-existing pages.

Yea, I did take what was there originally and copied it to the new site. I Googled phrases from some of the articles and they did not appear, which also tells me the content is unique, and the site is de-listed since I would have expected my link to show.

This is more of an experiment and learning process for me, because this is my first attempt at rebuilding/using an expired domain.

This person appeared to of had a network of similar sites. I encountered links to other sites in these articles and 2 of the 3 are expired and in the process of becoming available. I'm almost thinking I should contact the original owner and see if he would sell all of his content to me, but I don't know how far I want to take this thing.

There is a solid amount of content already posted. Many of the articles were originally categorized in WP as Uncategorized. Do you think it's best to have all articles rewritten?

For the articles I could grab, I am using the same URL. The original permalink was /%postname% so I am reusing that for now. I still need to redirect broken links to a new page.
