I'm going to register a EMD hyphenated.

For example:

The key-word is "master of puppets"

And I can register master-of-puppets.TLD or master-puppets.TLD

I've read that Google can consider spammy a domaain hyphenated with 3 words.

What domain is better for SEO microsite/mininiche???

I think it's much preferred not to have dashes ( - ) in URL's. If you look at the most popular sites in the world, they don't have dashes. It's personal preference but it looks more professional without dashes (as long as it's readable...and most of all, memorable!)

Thanks for the answers.

Domains without dashes are unavailable. I know that these domains are so much better... But I can register hyphenated domains only.

The question if you have to register and develop one of the two domains... what would do you choose?? master-puppets.co or master-of-puppets.co ?

In SEOmoz i've read this:

Word SeparatorsAvoid hyphens. Hyphens detract from credibility and can act as a spam indicator.

But there are domains getting traffic with one dash...

HyphensFor readability sake, a domain name that is longer than 3 words should be separated with hyphens. That said, use of hyphens also correlate with spamminess so domain names with more than 3 words should be avoided.

According to that, maybe be better register master-puppets.co but then it won't be a EMD.

Any suggestion? :)
