Are you tired of creating numerous email accounts in order to make Craigslist accounts? Well i may have something that will end this time consuming task.

It's called the gmail trick. I know most of you already know it but not everyone does.

What is the gmail trick? Here's an exemple

thisismyemail@gmail.com

Let's say this is the email i am using at the moment for craigslist.
the gmail trick consists in adding . (dots) anywhere in the email.

from thisismyemail@gmail.com
to t.h.i.sismyemail@gmail.com

For gmail: both these emails are the same, you will receive the messages sent to both emails in the same inbox. ( your ''normal'' one )

For CL: these are two different emails,hence allowing you to use the same email to create multiple accounts

How many CL accounts can you make with one gmail account?

It will depend on the amount of characters your email contains,
in my example it would produce :

2^(13-1) = 4096 email possibilities
This is only from a 13 character email.

Generating all these possibilities

A friend of mine made a very simple program that automatically generates every single possible dot variations for a given email address and creates a text file that contains them.

You will find it attached to this post.

You can even add + in the email and it will remain the name.

For e.g
thisismyemail@gmail.com
thisismyemail+new@gmail.com

Will come to you. This is called label specification

I wanted to include the + trick also but the program my friend made was about the dot trick. I have to say that the + trick is easier to remember because you can do : +1 , +2 ,+3 etc..

I wonder if craigslist will see these as the same email and flag/ghost them all?

just try it you self , this as been working for me for the past two years on different websites.

Someone mentioned this previously but the best way is to try and find out.

i used this method few times and it does work like a charm.

This is a trick that was used for completing offers on GPT sites, it works well, but got shot down as fraud quickly by the advertisers.

I use this with bookmarking sites for creating accounts. The dot thing I didn't know and will try. The + thing is for tagging mails so one easily can search them on Gmail. Like yourmail+optin@gmail.com

The + sign causes some problem though when trying to sign up at some bookmarking sites where they don't accept that as a vald mailadress. I think the dot is better since it's not too uncommon that one use firstname.lastname@gmail.com or similar. Think it will work better so I will defineatly try it to see if it works.

i like the "." trick....i tried the + trick too....gmail uses this trick for the canned response hack...

Version 2 works fine. Eventually you have no Java support installed on your computer, that's why it didn't work.

maybe.. i have Java support but conflict is with something else by the error info.. i'm lazy checking it as version 1 works ok )

lol this is an old trick and cl knows about it. I created 5 accounts with this and all 5 accounts soft banned me.

Same here. I don't trust it. It use to work great for me (I've used this "trick" for awhile) but I'm starting to think it's getting me ghosted and soft blocked. I'll do more testing and post what I find.

Anyone know any other free mail services that allow this besides Gmail? I realize you could do this with a catchall on your domain but I'd rather use a free email service.

does this method still work id like to know, as of right now im still using my catchall with my own domain and thats working fine ;x

The problem with this technique is that that cl account worth 10 cents each and gmail accounts worth 2 cents each.

Would you risk 10 cent for 2 cent?
