CPA CPA is an acronym for Cost per Action and refers to "ads" that are sold on the basis that money is only given when a certain action occurs because of the ad. A CPA ad could be one in which a publisher gets paid for people that click thru an ad and sign up for a newsletter or enter a contest or fill out a form for more information on a product. Many consider direct sales or Cost Per Sale ads, and CPC ads to also be a form of CPA. But CPA usually refers to being paid for leads, sign ups, and so on.

Default Would I be able to collect from CPA??? Help!!!

Hi guys, I'm really worried and actually couldn't sleep last night because I am afraid tha I may not be able to collect the money I have made with some CPA networks in my first month of experience, so I decided to ask the experts.

I got an script from a fellow bhw member. It really works, and after dealing with it for 15 days I finally put it to work. So it started to do good, then real good, and then too good (if that's an expression).

I am using email submits and the cpa network has no idea where the traffic comes from since it has a blank referral.

The thing is that by the time I started to check the stats (i'm so noob that just checked my daily income in the first page) it was too late bacause is was Sept. 30th.

So, I end up with NO incent offers (couldn't find a decent one in email submits, apart from the fact that I am overseas and was accepted to a handful of CPA networks). My stats look like this:

CLICKS / LEADS / S-U / ePC
1992 / 1032 / 52% / 0.65
290 / 97 / 33% / 0.49

In the other offers i have S/U of 33%, 30%, 26% and some below 15%

I checked the Payment Info tab and it says Payment Due $0 and the amount that I have made is like on hold.

I talked to my affiliate manager and he said that payments are released on the 15th and that it must be in accounting.

Haven't received any mail regarding my performance or my account (don't know if it's good or bad).

The thing is that I have invested heavily in Adwords and i'm down 2K in my credit card with adwords.

For this month I lowered my stats to around 20% and will keep bringing them down.

But what do you think? Would I be paid? What has been your experience?

Thanks for any answer.

omg ... you spend a lot
you need an option to backup your way to earning

Well with what i've heard, if it's in accounting they probably will pay. All i can say is just cross your fingers and try not to worry about (if you can) since you talked to your AM already. I already had my share of the brush with cpa networks when they say nothing USUALLY (take note not always) they're cool with it.

CPA networks pay either on the 15th or 16th of each month. depends where you're from. Try not to worry about it.

What i've seen with cpa networks is when you do something wrong they'll tell you about it immediately. I'm not sure if this is the case on your side, but this is my experience.

All the best,

Catz

AMs don't normally lie in my experience. If they bother to reply you, you should be fine. But dude do something about your expenditure on adwords. You will go bust soon even if your network doesn't get to you.

Thanks for your answers guys.

I actually don't worry much about my Adwords expenditure. My ROI is good. I'm getting 90 cents net for every dollar I invest.

What worries me is the cpa payment. They haven't say anything so I'm gonna cool down.

Maybe if someone could tell me what are "acceptable" S/U's for non incet offers:

20%? 15%? or one digit?

Thanks.

I actually think anything below 10% is safe, but the bottom line here is, if the advertiser complains to the network. the networks complain to you and I think conversion rates is not a big thing to worry about.

Think about all the conversion rates they send around ie, xxx offer converts at 30.92%. so are those guys gonna have a problem? They have this all over just talk to your am and i'm sure he/she will hook you up.

I am actually in the same boat at the moment, I choose not too worry about it, since they haven't complained at all. I watch my email like a hawk and so far so good.

I just keep in mind, if you're doing something wrong and they caught you USUALLY they notify you immediately, at least in my experience (just like my post above)

All the best,

Catz

The acceptable s/u is going to depend on the offer. But here's the deal: Most of the time the network doesn't even look at your conversion rate unless they have a complaint from an advertiser. Most advertisers don't know jack and the only time they might complain is when your leads aren't backing out, and it doesn't matter if your s/u is 10% or 95%, your leads still won't back out.

Networks don't care until they get a complaint, THEN they look at your clickthrough/conversion and if things look suspicious, they might can you, while if things look in order, they'll just tell you to stop running that one offer that complained.

Either way, no need to panic, they are often late in issuing the payment. When I first started CPA I was worried that my check wouldn't come but now I'm working with about 12 networks and I hardly even pay attention anymore. The checks just come in.

Just make sure you get your stuff in order so if one advertiser complains next month you don't lose the entire network.
