CPA CPA is an acronym for Cost per Action and refers to "ads" that are sold on the basis that money is only given when a certain action occurs because of the ad. A CPA ad could be one in which a publisher gets paid for people that click thru an ad and sign up for a newsletter or enter a contest or fill out a form for more information on a product. Many consider direct sales or Cost Per Sale ads, and CPC ads to also be a form of CPA. But CPA usually refers to being paid for leads, sign ups, and so on.

Default Question on incentivizing non incent offers.

Could a network do more than just can you if you were caught incentivizing non incent offers?

Lets say that the advertisers actually like my traffic though, do you think its likely the cpa network would do more than not pay me? if I have made more than a few thousand could they try to take legal action?

Were also talking about someone in the US here.

it's a violation of TOS not a crime. the absolute worst they would do is file a civil suit against you (think egay vs DP)

You'd have to REALLY stick'em hard for them to sue you.

Well im doing 3-4k a month - I can always tone it down a bit though.

Any thoughts?

It might also be time to setup an LLC. Plus I hear there are great tax benefits.

Edit: There is no feasible way for the network to know except if a visitor to my site reports me to them. I have it setup so that my referrer looks perfectly legit.

If you're doing this for more than a month and you're night having a problem. I don't think you will have a problem unless it's ringtones or something like that.

I have been doing it almost exactly a month and no problems.

My AM has actually told me that the advertisers like my traffic.

The traffic isnt that crap, its just breaking the TOS, but its well hidden.

So, are they actually converting ... as in filling out the entire form including their name, address, etc. ? If so, I don't think you'll have a problem. I got banned from one particular advertiser in Neverblue because my traffic wasn't converting (they were just put in there e-mail address only).

I would think they are only putting in their email address, but the AM says one of the advertiser's likes my traffic, so I guess some of them are backing out.

Just spread it over a couple of advertisers with the same offer.
