I Answer All Commission Junction PPC Program Inquiries
Greetings BHW!
BHW has been very influential in my online success, and I feel like it is only right to give back to the members of this great community.
I have been a publisher on Commission Junctions Pay Per Call Program for over a year, and I feel that I have a very good understanding of their platform. I am opening this thread to answer questions and offer my recommendations to this very profitable program.
I ask that you please read through this thread and make sure your question has not already been answered before you post.
CHEERS!

Re: I Answer All Commission Junction PPC Program Inquiries
I have struggled to get accepted to programmes? Any ideas?
Also, I am accepted to a couple of pay per call programmes. I've tried advertising on Craigslist, as well as ad mob ads, but not many takers.
Can you suggest any thing?
Thanks

May I ask how many advertisers you have applied to? I've learned that once commissions are coming in on your account, the better your chances are to being accepted. However, I opened an account recently and applied to every single advertiser on day one. By the end of the week, about 25 out of the 70 accepted me.

Physical marketing, hands down. Think about it, you need to get someone to call a number and be on the line with the rep and talk about a product/service. It doesn't matter whether they are genuinely interested or not, as long as they hit the threshold.
Your only obstacle with this is call volume, which craigslist or adsense might be better for. If you are looking for some traffic to any of your numbers, let me know and I may be able to help
Physical promotion also opens the opportunity for some small black hat methods. Who's to say I can't find somebody off the street (or better yet someone I know) to call and act like he is interested in a product/service for 2-5 min? It's all about your personal connections with this.
If you are strictly doing White Hate methods, these other marketing methods will cost you an arm and a leg to see any significant returns.
Hope this helps.

On strictly WH methods, using mostly mobile advertising with AT&T Interactive, I was basically trading dollars. I'm thinking if you can sprinkle in a bit of BH techniques, PP call can be quite profitable

Re: I Answer All Commission Junction PPC Program Inquiries
I am asking these so there will be a list of answers ready for whoever views this thread
.
What if someone calls the number (from craigslist) and it isn't allowed as a traffic source and asks about the craigslist ad? Will the representative get suspicious and audit your account?
For example... Hey bob I am calling about the ad you posted on "craigslist" do you still provide local pickup?... Would that raise red flags?
Or someone clueless calls them and doesn't even know what the heck he is getting into and a questioning debate between the two people on the phone occurs.
Or
Like hey I am calling about a pizza and it isn't a pizzeria but he still asks for it. Would the lady just tell the caller he has the wrong number or would she get curious and put an alert in your account or both?
I know you are making money off this call I got paid to do it (even if you never paid them?) Dodgy competitors would do something like that and I am afraid of someone wanting me to go under for their own gain.
Have you ever had it happen to you if so what was the result?
As for promotional tactics...
I am worried about spreading fliers or taping them someplace to come home with a cop by my front door asking about what I did that day.
Can you list some methods that eliminate trespassing or marketing without permission? I was thinking business cards and handing them out but I don't think I can get away with standing someplace for too long without getting in trouble.
What is the industry standard for conversion ratios. Like what % do your callers have to convert before you get booted or isn't there one so you shouldn't have to worry about it.
That should be enough for now but I would recommend answering some of offline methods because I don't want to see 1000 posts about people getting arrested for promoting pay per call ads
. I am serious you can arrested for most things in America especially doing things without permission.

First off, PayPerCall on CJ.com will probably get you banned advertising on CraigsList.
Secondly, personally e-mail a publisher and tell them what you can give them, and then ask if they can accept you. It works, I've done it probably 5 times or so.
Need business advice? Just ask!

Re: I Answer All Commission Junction PPC Program Inquiries
I noticed some Pay Per Call advertisers have no promotional restrictions so I dont see why Craigslist would be against the rules....
I am not getting accepted to the campaigns though...looks and sounds easy though

This is incorrect. Each advertiser has their own restrictions. Make sure to read the fine prints friends...

So, how's the Pay Per Call campaigns going? Are you still at it? I wonder what methods of marketing would work best with this kind of promotion, but I know CJ provides a guide.
