PayPerCall - Best promotion methods?
I have been approved for 2 campaigns in the paypercall program through cj and was wondering what promotional methods other folks were using successfully. Please post your experiences here.

Re: PayPerCall - Best promotion methods?
I have no experience whatsoever with paypercall, but i just had a little think and came up with this. How about posting ads on craigslist, relating to the offer, for example if it's a job posting, ask them for there phone number when they reply .. wait a few hours then email them back 'I tried to call you on xxxxxxxxx but could not connect. The xxx is still available so could you please give me a call back on **your ppc num**!
Once again this is me having a shot in the dark, i have no idea if they hace PPC for jobs? Anyways, maybe you can twist up that idea for your offers?
Good Luck

Thanks CC. The bad thing about this idea is that these numbers require a certain amount of time for the caller to stay connected in order to get credit for it. Might still work though.

Yea i thought about that, but surely if you can get traffic which is targeted (ie post a relevant ad) and make it all seem legit and business like, then im sure they will hang on the phone for a while.

Re: PayPerCall - Best promotion methods?
Why don't you try media buys? (preferably paying CPC not CPM). Or even Adwords content network (if they call the number without clicking it won't cost you anything

Re: PayPerCall - Best promotion methods?
What are the offers you are approved for from CJ? You can be generic in nature with the answer if you want.
I did some of that a while back and had some moderate success.

Maybe after I try other things. CPC is not in my budget for this just yet.

You can get dirt cheap clicks on the Adwords content network in quite a few niches (<$0.05), and the point is, if they have a number to call, they won't click on the ad anyway, so it won't cost you anything

I don't mind sharing.... efax and reputationdefender. Applied for several more too.

Re: PayPerCall - Best promotion methods?
I wonder how many people actually call phone numbers they find advertised in offline media like classified newspapers and flyers. I am storming a lot of possibilities here.

I don't know that efax would be good for offline advertising due to the limited audience and the same for reputationdefender.
For the efax offers, I would get an email list of businesses and do some email marketing. I'm not well versed in that but I know those lists are out and about and you can find out how to email large lists and hit the inbox from some of the email marketers here... I'm sure there are are threads about that if you choose to go that route.
Reputationdefender - you should be able to get some pretty targeted clients by scraping sites like ripoffreport.com, complaintboard and others like that and find their websites and use the contact us section to make your pitch. I would think that a script could be written/coded for that from A - Z.
I don't see offline advertising for either one as they are such small target audiences. I used to own an advertising firm and if you came to me to help you out, I would not take you on as a client for any offline advertising because that would be taking your money and getting you little to no results for it.

Hey Meathead, have you actually done this? How does that work, do you just pay per impression then or is it still a PPC and the end user just doesn't click cause they see the number and call it?
Thanks in advance
:D

Re: PayPerCall - Best promotion methods?
I have the BEST idea for this, although I don't have a CJ PPC account.
If someone is approved please message me and we can JV on this.

Re: PayPerCall - Best promotion methods?
The best option I think would be the craiglist method. ..
You wont believe how many people will call you
I tried this method and made around $300 .. though I used a different site which paid me per call .. there was no minimum limit to get paid

Re: PayPerCall - Best promotion methods?
Awords does work , I got best results using search not the content network. got a lot of clicks on content but no profitable calls. they were all very short calls 5's r less . I think they were all miss clicks, great for the site owners not great for my ppc budget.

Re: PayPerCall - Best promotion methods?
There are a few nice methods/ideas here guys! I would hit fliers for many of the offers myself, but the CL method and pay per click ones are nice.

Re: PayPerCall - Best promotion methods?
Make sure to hit tsst call in cj for all of the offers, so that you can filter by the businesslike nature and hang on time (the good ones stretch out the call to reach maximum billing, and brainstorm for what "fits the script" led by the audio message or reception by caller.

Not sure I follow you here. Would you mind elaborating on this please?

It should have said TEST call. In cj, when you apply for the pay per call offer program, there is a Test call button on the right top corner of the offer info. If you click on it, it will call you at the phone listed on your account and you can listen to the message given or operator on the other end to hear how it goes. No matter what method you use to drive traffic, you want it to match the feel and verbiage used to keep it going long enough to get credit for the call.

Oh ok, thanks buddy...I thought I was missing something here! LOL
How are you doing with this (PPC)?

Re: PayPerCall - Best promotion methods?
I myself use paypercall to advertise where I otherwise couldn't . Advertising space is advertising space. If an object is under a gateway, but can be seen, and if after you click on the gateway options a rotation of what under the gateway takes place, no one can ever click on it, so rather than just fill in with fake content, I will put in a real ad. If you ever want to call Cloey before you fill out that CPA form for your free download, I give you that opportunity. Ain't I nice.
What I meant to say was offline promotion only sir...

Re: PayPerCall - Best promotion methods?
I used paypercall a few months ago while in my senior year of high school. I used my resources to market some of the technical college call offers to the bums in my class and some did end up calling. Maybe you could try offline methods like I did?

Re: PayPerCall - Best promotion methods?
Does anyone know of other PPcall networks other than CJ? Ive searched but nothing compares to the cj platform/ ringrevenue. I applied to a dozen cj's but no response in 2 biz days.

Re: PayPerCall - Best promotion methods?
I am having very little success with pay per call on craigs list...i'm rather stumped...

Re: PayPerCall - Best promotion methods?
I've been marketing pay per call for newsprint for the last 6 years. To be successful you must match your market to the offer. I also own a weekly tv magazine and that has allowed me access to a large group of people to market to. My highest payout check was about $6,000 my average is $1,400 monthly.
I currently have a hot one right now and just from that client I earned $4,500 for February.

Re: PayPerCall - Best promotion methods?
I dont think ppcall is a good choice

Re: PayPerCall - Best promotion methods?
apply for all of them. once you've gotten 100 calls, reapply to the ones you didn't get approved for.
I'm only getting ~100/month right now, but its building up.
I also made a chart on the details of each campaign, but all of them have changed and i havent kept it up to date. i might set up a google doc and share it if a few people are interested.
I'm currently approved with the following... And there are only about 10-20 i'm not approved with, and i don't feel like messing around with stuff to get approved right now, but maybe when i have some time.

Re: PayPerCall - Best promotion methods?
For the exceptional ones, take them to the Real World. I printed off about 100 pages worth of little 2" x 2" square ads for the ADT Alarm PayPerCall Campaign, and I took it to the area malls and parks here in Atlanta, Georgia. It eventually brought in a couple hundred dollars, which i have to admit is the only money I have EVER made from CJ.
