Was banned for using BH techniques but I argued with them a lot to show evidence or I would take it further, blah blah. Then after the time period ended (15days) and my account was banned, they issued a cheque in the middle of November, which took some weeks to arrive here, cos I'm in the UK. I had about 700£ on the account originally, but some of the money was getting reversed. I can't access the account now, cos its banned, but this cheque has nearly 400£ on it, so I don't really know whats going on here. I tried to take it to "The Money Shop", which is one of these places which cashes cheques, but the guy couldn't do it cos there was "some authorisation problem", and didn't really know any more details. Any thoughts?

If it's Adsense then my guess is that the check was stopped. I have heard of this happening before.

The cheque has been cancelled. You wont be able to cash it now.

I had a similar situation them issuing the cheque after I was banned however my cheque cleared.

I would just take to your bank rather than "The Money Shop" you have nothing to loose.

maybe its because once a guy sued them for $700 something bux and he won the case... so maybe they've become atleast this much lineant to give you the money you earned and disabling you to further exploit their system

That'll happen with CJ. They banned me for blanking all my referrers and for "suspected" fraud activity a couple years ago. 3-4 months letter my check shows up and clears just fine.

I did also receive my check a couple of months after I was banned. I believe they hold onto the money for some reason...

They seem to be quick to ban on even the slightest hint of suspicion. Once they've reviewed your traffic and decided you're in the clear they'll pay you in hopes that you come back. I was actually emailed and asked to continue promotion after they'd reinstated my account and decided my leads were okay. I outright told them to fuck off, remove me from all their mailing lists, and close my account...

It's been almost 2 years now and I'm doing fine without CJ. Though I am considering coming back to promote some webhosting stuff.

It depends if you completely, blatantly butt-raped them or only sent them a few blank referrers.

Usually sending a few blank referrers, CJ will let the last check go through. But if you blatantly abused CJ, they will probably cancel the check.
