It means you don't buy traffic using their trademark. In any of its forms (PPV,PPC, etc.).
Matter of fact they will also not pay you if you manipulate a domain name for easy traffic and they catch you. (In contrast to clickbank).
There is a huge difference between an advertiser and a vendor. Vendors have no control while advertisers are allowed to do basically whatever the want to including not paying.
Manipulation is a losing strategy with affiliate networks while it's a fair strategy to take advantage of the usually scamming vendors.

Anyone knows what Bross meant by "manipulate a domain name"?
I'm kind of worried, I just bought a domain name with great traffic potential and want to push CJ stuff there. Am I gonna be okay or I have to write a lot of content?
meaning like the same domain but with an extra letter somewhere in it. like if it was a domain abworkout.com dont buy abworkouts.com

The main thing I can think of is using variations of the domain name, or name+scam...things like that. It's a common strategy with clickbank affiliates, but a lot of CJ merchants would have a fit if you did that with their names (and they'd keep your commissions if they found out). CJ merchants don't like you to use their domain name, trademark, or variants thereof in any PPC ads, either.
Thanks to both of you. Problem solved.
